My wife is due to give birth to our second child in April so I thought no Florida next year, however as usual we are now having second thoughts and are considering going in June. Has anybody taken a three month old to Florida before? My main concern is the humidity. My daughter will be four by then and I know she is as good as gold on long haul flights but taking a three month old long haul my be risky, anybody done it?

I've done it with a 5 month old. the flight itself wasn't a big problem actually, as baby slept a lot of the way. we used a sky cot which worked well, only problem was turbulence so we had to disturb ds sleep to take him out of the sky cot. it was easier to take a 5 month old than a 1 year old which we also did as by 1 they do not want to sit still.
I can't comment on June heat with a baby as our trip was January, I do know august heat is brutal and with a baby, a good sun shade and lots of air conditioning are a must, which when you're looking for shelter and cool air is actually there in abundance.
there are so many rides at Disney that you can do with a baby and of course parent swap is available.
one of the nicest things is watching the characters interact with tiny babies, they love making a fuss and we got some gorgeous footage of ds babbling to daisy duck!
I would say go for it, bearing in mind when baby is hungry you need to stop for feeding, which can be more time consuming and frequent than you'd think, as long as you work the whole trip on total flexibility then you'll be fine :-)

We took our 3 month GD with us in July this year. No problems experienced. Book your milk at boots in the airport.

are you allowed to take milk through security?

Yep but they will ask you to taste it if its made up in bottles. Put the formula (If thats what you use) in the case and declare it at customs when you get there incase they want to check it. They just xrayed our bags and sent us on our way.

We took DD when she was 6 weeks old, and it was a breeze, although in October so the humidity was not an issue. I think in many ways, it is easier when they are so little, it was hardest when she was 14 months old. I wouldn't hesitate to take a 3 month old. Good luck with your decision :goodvibes

I agree. We took DS2 when he was 4 months, and went in April/May. He was great on the flight, had a skycot and slept most of the way. We went for the benefit of DS1 who was 5 at the time, but I would go so far as to say DS2 enjoyed his trip too - looking at the lights, hearing the music and even seeing the characters. :goodvibes It was much easier than when we took him at 19 months!
