La Cava, the margarita stand in Mexico and the Dockside Margaritas a seemed weak :/.

I'm not drinking to get hammered, however just to get a nice little buzz.

When I went to hang it with friends at Chevys off property ONE margarita did me justice!

Question to all or am I just More tolerable!

I don't drink that much, and I find the drinks at WDW to be too strong. I wonder if there is much consistency with how strong or weak the drinks are.

Margarita stand margaritas are definitely weaker than I would like! Although I did guzzle a frozen one last trip so that we could get on the Mexico boat ride sooner. :drinking1That helped a little with the buzz- and I got a little brain freeze too!

It may depend on your poison of choice. I'm good with rye, bourbon, scotch & rum (not all together!) but tequila is a completely different animal. I don't drink it often (so have little tolerance for it) and find the La Cava margaritas very strong. One is definitely enough for me in the heat. Don't get me wrong, I love that avocado margarita. And considering the price tag, being good to go with one is just fine for my pocket book too!

That was THE BEST title I've ever seen on here!!! :rotfl: I'm making a note to try them- ya know in the name of Science or something! ;) I'll let you know July of 2016
Now Lapu Lapu's at the Polynesian can never be called weak.
Good to know. :thumbsup2
*makes note to have a Lapu Lapu*
Ditto! :drinking1

You're speaking my language... both are lovely. :goodvibes I like my scotch on the rocks and my rum with sparkling water and lime. Tequila is good too, but only certain kinds.

I usually only drink one drink, and that is Jim Beam and Mt Dew when available, with Coke when not, which is my only option at WDW... I have always thought they mix a good drink at WDW... I also don't think that they are horribly priced.... Just as a side I am a bartender, so I notice these things....

I find most of the advertised mixed drinks pretty weak. They are delicious though.

However, I had the avocado margarita at La Cava and though it was pretty strong. I have heard some of the flavors are pre-mixed so maybe weaker?

It's funny, I don't have a super high tolerance but I didn't get a buzz form my Lapp lapu!

Yes - try the Lapu Lapu! My DH is a big guy and after drinking one he had to go back to the hotel room to lay down.

Your DH is a lightweight;) I'm sort of medium size and after 2 or 3 I was still ok. Wouldn't have gotten behind the wheel, but was fine to take the monorail home :earsboy:

Yes, they are weak. And I PROMISE I am NOT an alcoholic, but I ALWAYS have two Lapu Lapus and could walk a line perfectly. I am 5'2 and 112 lbs so I'm not all that big either. My husband is 6'1 and 230lbs and can't drink ONE. I think it all boils down to tolerance.

The Margs I have had at WDW on my last trip I did find a bit weak and I am not a huge drinker at all. I will make sure the next time I am at WDW I will try a Lapu Lapu.

I find the pre-mixed and frozen drinks to be fairly weak, but I've had a few Disney libations that kicked my butt... The passion fruit margarita at La Cava and the Lapu Lapu at the Poly come to mind.

While I've found the la cava margaritas to be a good tequila ratio for me, remember they can't mess with the alcohol content of beer or wine ; )

The drinks we've always had have been excellent. They aren't too weak. If anything, they're a bit strong. I am a lightweight so take that into consideration. :thumbsup2

I find them weak in general too. Have had good luck with Tambu Lounge and the Joy of Tea in China (Tipsy Ducks in Love!).
