Am I expecting too much from my TA?

I have tried contacting several TAs via email to book a cruise and have been totally unimpressed with the response(timelyness and follow up). In my case, I think it may be that I am booking a low cat on a 3 day, so not much $$ in it for them.
I missed out on the $25 online ooking credit because of their slow/no responses.
I would pass on the whole TA thing if I could, but the WDW website won't let me book a cabin # and since we need 2, I want them to be fairly close together, so I figure I need a TA for that.

Please check your PM's - I have some information that might be of interest to you.

You can call DCL to get that done. :)

I agree her behavior is entirely unacceptable. I suppose she has the attitude that the cruise is 16 mos. out, there are 4 rooms available, so why rush? Too bad for her--apparently she doesn't understand what encourages customer loyalty!

If I understand all this, you do now have a ressie on the stateroom you want. And my impression is that while you NOW have things the way you like them, you asked early and often for changes to be made and no action was taken to your satisfaction until several requests were made.

I am surprised you chose to stay with the TA. There is a disconnect between your expectations and their ability to deliver service and communication. You did all the work necessary--why did the TA earn a commission again, I missed that part.

This next part is really not intended to be a flame--but to paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, if you are calling DCL repeatedly to find out what your TA was supposed to find out and then having to call your TA to tell them that you have done their research for them and then you have to call your TA back because you have not heard a confirmation, and you know what they need to know, you might be a control freak. And that is not a bad thing. Some people need to be hands on and have control. Fine. Not a question of good or bad--a question of style. I just question whether the style/tempo/pacing of this TA is a style match for you. And since you seem to be quite skillful at working the DCL system and having info about staterooms, etc., I wonder if you are best served with a TA or would dealing directly with DCL be a better match for your personality. Not a flame, just wondering if you might be happier doing things differently.

In any event--you found supporters here on DIS, you got the stateroom you want, and its a DISNEY CRUISE!! I just hope your TA gets you your doc's promptly and doesn't drag her feet again--I don't sense that would play well with you. Nor should it.
