I know I had a yummy glass of egg nog but I swear I didn't put any rum in it!!

I was researching trips online. Went to itravel2000.com and found a package - offsite but it was $1599.35 including taxes and insurance for DH, DD and myself for 7 days. This is return with AirTransat out of YYZ to MCO. Only thing we'd need to get now is a rental car since we are definitely staying off site. Dates and flight times work perfect for us as well.

Ohhh...I'm getting excited now. LOL

Does it include tickets to the parks? If so how many days, seems really too good of a deal

too good to be true then! Once you add car rental and tickets too that, you're probably at the same price as on-site.

I'd research on site resorts, WDW often puts out discounts, either % off room or free dining promos. You can go to the WDW web site and click on the bottom of the page under Special Deals. Or phone and speak with someone, being sure to ask if there are any special offers. Staying on site is a totally different experience. We stayed off site our first time, and after decided we'd stay on site for future WDW trips.
Many perks, with free airport transportation and also the WDW transportation while in WDW. Extra hours avail to guests only.
When you factor in car rentals and paying for parking, the savings diminish.

We always book our own airfare. I search out the fares with Kayak.com and fly out of Seattle to save $.

That doesn't seem like that great of a deal. What is the hotel you found for that price and what are the dates?

If it doesn't include food, park tickets or rental car you can easily add another $1,000. I can usually take my family of 4 with park tickets for under $3,000 if I plan carefully and fly from Buffalo instead of Toronto.
