Please tell me if I'm missing something! :scratchin

I am planning a 10 day trip for May 2006.

Based on reading these boards and web research, I have decided what parks to go each day (including days of rest), noted the park hours and parade/fireworks times, and decided on restaurants I want to go to for table service meals (dining plan).

Am I missing something?

Will all my plans go to pot if park hours and/or parade/firework times change before then?

Am I ready to make my dining reservations? (I must wait until mid November)

I've put a lot of work into this plan since the 180 day thing came out.

What else have I not considered?

Thank you so much for your insight! (I'll probably be less anxious when I have finally booked and made my reservations) :crazy2:

:wizard: My pointers:

Try to only make one ADR per day... unless you REALLY want to be on a schedule.

Don't forget Downtown Disney, it is fun to look around and eat.

Don't forget the Boardwalk, also fun to look around and eat.

Have you considered Water Park days?

Other than that... you sound good to go!!! Good job!!!

Ah, thank you! I did consider Downtown Disney, but I didn't think of the Boardwalk. I will definitley look into that one!

Any other things to consider? Anyone?

How likely is it for park hours and parade/fireworks times to change?

Park hours for the Magic Kingdom will probably change but those for Epcot and AK probably won't. MGM might change by an hour or so. At least that's what we've found. Parade times/fireworks don't usually change.

In your plans consider that it's likely to be quite warm in May so you might want to schedule in either a water park or some down time at the resort pool.

Have a great time!!

Are you staying on-site? If so, you should make sure that you are using the most up-to-date info on the EMH days. We are going during March Break and it appears that they are changing the order of the "rotation" for EMH from what they were using when it first began this year.

Based on our experience from last Easter, the various schedules do change and sometimes there is a domino effect but you probably only have to worry about it if you are going during a very busy period, like Easter.

When I began making last year's plans, MK opened at 9:00 am. So, I booked CRT breakfast during one of our days for 8:00 am. We'll about 4 or 5 weeks before Easter, the decided to have MK open at 8:00 am during our week and they had EMH every morning at MK starting at 7:00 am. So, instead of leaving CRT breakfast just as the rides were opening up, we were going to CRT AFTER already having been in Fanstasyland doing rides for almost an hour.

They also changed the time for the Stars and Motor Cars parade at MGM from what was initially 4:00 pm to what was eventually 4:30 pm...which turned out to be a bummer because we had made ADR at the Hollywood Brown Derby for 4:30 pm on the expectation that it would coincide with the end of the parade.

At the start of our plans, MK was supposed to have the Spectromagic parade at 9 pm with Wishes fireworks at 10 pm; the schedule was later changed to two Spectromagic parades (8 pm and 10 pm) with Wishes at 9 pm.

So, things do change. Not a big deal but, if you've put a lot of time into your plans, you'll probably want to check the times again as your trip approaches so that you're not caught totally off guard.

Thank you very much for your input. I will be sure to schedule some downtime by the pool.

I'm feeling much better about my planning so far. People on these boards have already been so helpful, and I've only really just begun!

Cheers! :sunny:
