Am I doing something wrong? (DING! question)

Yes I know I just posted about not justifying the price of flying. That doesn't stop hope from springing eternal however.

I JUST got a DING for a fare from MDW to Tampa Bay. They all say $49-$109.

However, every single time I click on one, they all say $109-$119. If the DING JUST went off, how is this possible? I was sitting right here! I went to the site right away. I doubt that all of those seats sold out in 30 seconds.

Am I doing something wrong? How do I book a $49 fare?

My dates are in the correct range of dates to get the fare - they're all Monday-something, and we can fly on Mondays (August 6th and August 20th)

did you click on the ding page? You can't find it by booking thru the reg. ressie page.
I hope it works for you but don't give up. Call a SW agent and they will walk you thru it and stay on phone til you complete it.

I've flown out of TB and it wasn't a bad ride at all.

Yep. I clicked on the message in the DING! program, which opened up a page in my web browser. The fares are even listed as DING! fares on the list of flights. There's just nothing for $49! Not even a bad flight with multiple layovers or anything!

Even the Internet One Way fares are cheaper!!!

Can you change your flying days to Tuesdays? When I just checked all the flights were open for $49 or $54 on August 7 and 21. Good luck!

Not easily. We have CRT scheduled for lunch on the 7th, and we have to be back at work on the 21st

And we can't fly the Friday before, because we're getting married that Saturday.

it appears to only be on Tues and Weds. that the $49 is offered. if you're flexible it could be done.
