No, as long as they're comfortable. I wore a pair of Roxy's and had to go to First Aid to get bandaids because they were cutting my feet. The next time I wore the cheap Old Navy ones and they were perfect. No one problem. I guess just make sure they're nice and comfy. I prefer to tennis shoes anyway because walking around in flip flops all day makes my feet dirty for some reason and I don't like it. I like my sneakers.

I had them doggies soaking in my foot massager for like three days! This year I wore my running shoes and had NO problems at all. Not a pain, blister, NUTHIN'!

My Nike's, I have no clue if they are walkers, cross trainers, or whatever. Maybe I will have to convince DH I need another pair of shoes. I looked into Croc's, but those are just not me. Thanks for eveyones responses.

If you playing tennis then it's a good idea to pack them....if not then I would recommend a great pair of real walking shoes like what you would find at the Athletes Foot. Have a professional fit you with a great pair of shoes.
Wearing the wrong shoes at WDW is like wearing the wrong bra....just a really really bad idea.
Most people do not do a lot of walking. And most people don't get in the recommended 2 miles a day....just imagine going to WDW and walking 4-6 miles per day on crappy shoes.....
Tennis shoes are pretty much sneakers. Like the Adidas sneakers you see everywhere with the different color stripes on the side (they can be unisex). Those are technically "tennis shoes."

Just like pop to drink not soda. I wear my ADIDAS flips more then anything. We are doing split days at the parks so I will just switch out my shoes. Thanks about the boneyard tip, I will wear my tennis shoes on AK day for sure.
