Ok, so am I crazy or what? I want to plan a solo trip to wdw for my birthday, even though I haven't taken our 1st trip! I'm thinking 11-4-05 thru 11-10-05 so I'll be there the day before my 27th b-day and I'll get plenty of me time while I'm there. So am I crazy or should I go for it?

Not crazy at all. I would love to go solo. I have several trips with my DS, but this year he is 18. Our next trip may be the last one he makes with me. DH refuses. He will never go. Whenever I say I would like to go for couple of day alone, everyone wants to know why. They just don't get it. :confused3

By going alone, there is no compromise. You do what you want, when you want to.

If you're worried about eating alone (that is, if sit-down meals bother you when you're dining by yourself), select a counter-service restaurant.

Have fun!

I think I will, I've only taken 1 trip by myself before, and it wasn't that bad, and how bad could it be to be in wdw alone! wooo hoo I think I'm gonna have a great b-day this year!

I say go for it...I did a 7 night solo trip in Jan and it was heavenly :)

I'm taking my first solo trip in May and at first was scared to death. I've never gone anywhere by myself. The more I plan the more excited I'm getting. I took my son and GD in Jan, but while I loved EPCOT, neither of them cared for it. So in May, I'm spending 2 1/2 days exploring EPCOT. I already have three tours booked and made my last PS yesterday. I'm getting to eat places I didn't get to try in Jan, because my family is not adventurous eaters. I'm also spending 1 1/2 days at MK and a day each at AK and MGM. I'm spending two half days at DTD. Basically I'm doing what I want, when I want. I'm also considering spending a morning at a spa. Can you tell I'm excited? During the Jan trip I was planning my solo trip for May. I'm also already planning a second solo trip for early Dec to see the Christmas stuff. Go for it!!!

Oh! I don't know what kind of tickets you plan on purchasing, but if you're going to be making two trips this year you would probably be better off with an Annual Pass. When I went in Jan I bought myself an AP and my son and GD Hoppers. The AP more than paid for itself with just the room discount I got. You only need one AP to get discounts on the rooms, some merchandise, meals, tours, etc. Also with an AP for $50.00 you can get the Disney Dining Experience Card which will save you 20% on most sit down meals as well as food courts and gets you into Pleasure Island for 1/2 off.
