Okay, don't answer that...

But, I thought the Disney pools were fresh water and chlorinated. But expert crusing buddies of mine said there was no way a cruise ship could have fresh water pools. DH didn't swim, so he can't help me out.

When I went on the Wonder last year the water was not salt water and it was chlorinated. The cruise has a small water desalinization plant onboard that provides the fresh water for the whole ship. I am not sure why they do this, but it is pretty nice to have freshwater pools.

It's all fresh water...they desalinate 500,000 gallons of water a DAY!! I think Disney is one of the few that does this?

I kind of like the salt water pools, adds to the tropical feel of the vacation. But that's just me. Caught our DD off guard at first last cruise (CCL, was sea water on the ship we were on). My BIL on the other hand hated it. Prefers clorinated.

Dave_from_Marietta . . . Really? That would be great if I could find an RCCL ship that had fresh, clorinated pools. My DD has VERY bad excema and can't handle the salt water. But, she LOVES the pool. After being on the Magic, I thought *all* ships had clean water! LOL.

Anyway, besides DCL, does anyone know what ships have fresh water pools? I have also heard one of the Princess ships does, but I don't know which one.

I am pretty sure of the Princess ships have fresh water. At least the new ones. None of RCCL or Carnivals do. I think DCL and PCL are the only ones.
Matt
