Am I crazy....

We are driving from Syracuse, NY to Orlando are we crazy? lol....we are trying to figure out where to stop and when....Has anyone ever driven a long, long length to get to the World....It will only take 20 hours from here....Yeah crazy

We drove 16 hours (including stops) north on Saturday and I've got to say that it wore on the nerves and the body, but that was all in one day.

Going back we'll be driving 1000 miles but will stop once or twice. It's not so bad.

I use a program called Microsoft Streets (probably many others similar). You put in your start and stop location, drive start time, how late you want to drive, and then there is an option to check for how often you want to take a break, and how long the breaks should be.

We set ours for every 2 hours, and for 15 minutes. I'll go through and find where we'll approximately stop (usally rest stops) and then remove the auto breaks.

We can then gauge where we're going to be when we want to stop for the night.

We DO have a GPS, but I still print out the directions and take a map. You never know when something may happen to the GPS or they have problems getting the satellite signal.
