Am I making this up? Do I remember seeing several random cabins mixed in with the campsites? I mean not in the regular cabin loops. :confused3

DD and DSIL and their 2 kids will be meeting us at Ft Wilderness for several days. We're staying in our 5th wheel and have reserved a preferred site. They're booked in a Wilderness cabin. Are their any loops that have both?

Thanks for your help.

There are 2 in the 100 loop that, as I understand it are reserved for VIP's

There are 2 right by the trail leading to the Settlement. I think the VIP thing is a myth because I stay in my 5'er not one of those cabins therefore that info cannot be true. :rotfl:

I thank the whole 100 loop is for vip's we never can get in there.

I've heard the "VIP" response also..but frankly, I've never seen anyone occupy it ( think that is a GREAT idea!) nor have I ever heard of anyone occupying it. We did go and take a look at it during our last bike through the fort in May..but it appeared empty. ...Sort of a mystery. Maybe Disney was planing to try out the idea of both cabins and sites together, and for whatever reason never went any further with it.
If I were you I would try calling FW front desk directly and asking about it..and see if it's actuaLLY something you could request. I find that central reservations isn't that well informed when it comes to the fort, and might note your request, even if there isn't the slightest chance you'd get it.

I think the idea of offering some cabins in the RV loops is a GREAT way for families who have an RV and those who don't to still be able to vacation together..in the same loop.

Not a bad idea as long as they dont just take away camp sites to add more cabins. Maybe if they just took cabins out of the cabin loops made those campe sites. Then put those cabins in the sites that are a pain to back into. Some are worse than others to get into.

I see what you mean..not having the cabins take RV sites.;) It does sound like a good idea to have at least one of the cabin loops available to both cabin and RV guests that are traveling together.

In any case, I've never heard of or seen the cabin in the camping loop actually be occupied. Seems sort of a waste.

We already requested the 400 loop before they decided to join us for a few days. Maybe I should just note a request for "the cabins in the 100 loop" on their reservation.

It's a good idea to call FW and ask about it. I'll let you folks know if I find out anything.

We saw people in them on one our Christmas trips, if I remember a CM told us they were used for in-transit Disney CM's and such.
