I quit my job to move my family back from Seattle to Florida where we were originally from (spent 14 months in the NW). We moved back so that we could be near family again and if truth be told we were suffering from being so far from WDW, trips to WDL were just not cutting it....
Well thats not the crazy part, the crazy part is I decided not to take several job offers from companies in my industry and decided to persue a job with Disney. I go for my final interview on Monday. The crazy part is the money will be only one third of what we have been making the last 5 years...I am the sole provider for the family as my wife does the real work taking care of my beatiful princesses.
Am I doing the right thing? Has anyone else done this and regret it? or not regret it? It has always been my dream to work for Disney, but my family will always come first. My hope is to work hard and hopefully move up the corporate ladder fairly fast. I am going in as a reservation sales rep. which is pretty much the bottom of the ladder, but what a cool job helping people plan there WDW vacations.
Let me know, what y'all think? or about any similar experiences.
Thanks!
