Am I crazy to think......?

So the new dining plan looks great but am I correct to assume that you have to buy a travel package in order to get one? We are vacation club members and always book our arrangements individually. I am intrigued by a dining plan. What options are out there for people like me in terms of dining plans?

Yes, you are correct that DVCers can not add the Magic Your Way dining option, since we book "room only" ressies.

There is an option, though. If you have an annual pass, you can purchase the Disney Dining Experience card...this is not a DVC exclusive, but is available for the first time this year to all Annual Passholders. Previously it was only available to Florida residents.

The card is $50 and will give you 20% discount for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (including alcoholic beverages).

The page says FL residents only, but they just changed it this year so all AP holders can get it, regardless of their state of residence.

That looks great. How does the discount work? Do you and your entire dinning party (the entire bill) get the 20% off or is it just for you? So this is the DDE everyone refers to.

This is the DDE everyone refers to. Present your card prior to your server putting your bill in the computer, or you may need to wait for a manager. It is good for up to 10 people on your check. Here's some more info on the AP Discount for the card.

Remember the card is available to Florida Residents or Annual Passholders only.
