Am I crazy to not buy DVC

I would say that you would be an excellent candidate for owning DVC given your travel pattern. I would see how much you like the one-bedroom and then judge from that. The comfort of the 1 or 2 bedroom versus a regular resort room is significant. We have found the more we travel to WDW the more leisurely we tour the parks and spend more time in the room than we did pre-DVC. Having a couch, chair and full kitchen gives you more of the comforts of home.
