Am I Crazy to Book Poly?

I just booked a DVC Poly Studio standard view for my family of four (myself, husband and two young girls) for Nov 28-Dec.5. Am I crazy for doing this? I know the East pool will be under construction but other main areas will be completed. Some people seem have mentioned loud construction noise while others says they barely noticed it. We have never stayed at the Poly before and really wanted to have a great experience.

We stayed two weeks ago and LOVED it even with all of the construction. I'm sad they don't have any 1 or 2 bedroom options since we're a family of 6. I would love future stays there bc we truly loved it. I don't think you're crazy at all. Enjoy!

IMO I think it will be fine. Just understand east pool construction could be noisy.
With the lava pool opening soon and the interior of lobby done, I have no trepidations for our July visit. I realize the east pool construction could be loud and ugly.

We never stay at a new resort anymore. You never know what they are still working on and what bugs need to be worked out.

Nah, not crazy. We just planned a trip for June, so relatively last minute, and almost booked PVB. It was 90 points versus 56 for AKL Jambo, so we picked our home resort instead. We aren't huge fans of the Poly. It just doesn't "do it" for us, but we still seriously considered it because it is brand new, even with all the construction. I think you'll have fun regardless!

We just booked a night in September. Even with construction, we're just excited to stay in the new studios!
