Ok, I know it will be HOT and crowded but have I completely lost my mind for planning on going to WDW in July? the 9th-13th is when we are planning on at OKW. We are going for 4 nights. We have a 10+ nighter planned in October, so I'm not worried about seeing/doing everything. We are mainly going to get out of town, relax a bit (june is a super stress month at work), and ride everest. :rotfl:

Background: 2 adults, no kiddies, been to wdw a few times, have AP's this year and want to get our money out of them, driving 10-12 hours to Orlando (not really that big of a deal for me). We only plan on hitting a few biggie rides (EE, MS, BTMRR, Dino, Buzz and Fantasmic), a few classics (HM, POTC, SE, Maelstrom). And of course eat at my fav resturaunt and grab a mickey bar. We are usually off peak season visitors, never been there with crowds higher than 6 on UoG touring plans, all of the days we are going are 8's.

So is it going to be completely unbearable? are the crowds going to allow us to do anything without horrendous waits in heat? should I cancel and just wait till October?

I AM HEADING IN JULY... MY DBF, DCOUSIN AND I WILL BE THERE JULY 2-5TH

WE ARE SO EXCITED IT WILL BE THE FIRST TRIP FOR MY DBF AND I... WE ARE FROM IOWA... SO FIGURE WE MIGHT AS WELL BE IN DISNEY BEING HOT AND SUNBURNED THEN AT HOME!! :)

July is perfect to go. I love going during the summer. I am staying at POP from July 12 - 16!

Two of my co-workers and I are going for a week in early July. I just emailed them today to give the daily countdown. I said the heat would be horrendous, the humidity unrelenting and that we will have the time of our lives.

Just remember...get there early...take breaks and enjoy yourselves!

You are not crazy. The husband and I have done Fourth of July for a couple of years. Can't do it this year because (1) family obligations and (2) dang jobs won't give us Monday off.

Yes, it's hot but you already know that. Be prepared and take lots of water breaks. I wouldn't not go and wait until October. Go and have a blast!

Too crowded and to hot for us.

Go for it, you'll have a blast. You already know what to expect with the Heat, and Crowds. Its not really that bad, DW and I have been several July 4th's holidays and we just love it there in July. We'll miss July this year by a few days, bad planning on our part. Enjoy, keep the booking...

Thanks for reassuring me! Hot and crowded regardless, I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

We had visited WDW three times in July and once in August. We loved it just as much as our springtime visits. You just need to get up early so you can get in the parks at opening when it is still not unbearably hot . Head out of the parks in the early afternoon to take a dip in the pool. Then go back after dinner. July is a great time to visit!

If you are crazy then I will need to be committed to the crazy house. You have no kids with you. I will be there July 17-24th since these are the only dates that worked for a three family trip. I have a 10 month old, 4 year old and 6 year old. I went to Disney as a toddler and teenager and my memories from the first trip have a magical dreamy quality that I want my kids to have too, so I will brave it. I've decided to stop worrying about the crowds. What will be will be and I 'll deal with it when I get there as best I can. I am taking help so each of my kids will be covered by an adult. Disney is Disney and if you are looking for things to do with or without kids not too many vacations can top it in my opinion. So have a great time.

I have a question and I don't want to start a new thread since this question is kind of similar, hopefully someone will see it... I'm going to be there at the very end of June and a day in July (4 days total), is it possible to do all the big attractions in each park in just one day while taking a break in the afternoon. I know it'll be too hot to stay in the park all day so we're for sure going to be taking breaks, but is it reasonable to do more than just a few select attractions in that time? Is it possible to grab FP's and do all the 'bigger' attractions in the morning (especially in MK.) I know how the crowds are like in the off seasons, but this is my first time experiancing them when it's the real vacation season. Thanks for any help!
