Traveling with DH, DD11, DD6, and DS 2

When we went in October, we did 3 ADRs a day for 6 days on the DxDP...with a 4 year old. It was fine. We did ALOT of character dining, and we are big eaters! I'm sure we missed out on some stuff because of dining, but DD4 wanted the characters more than the rides!

It does seem like alot for your first day, seems like you will be doing alot of traveling between park, DTD and then back to the park. Can you do the BBB at the park or maybe do it later like after the parade? That way so much time wont be wasted on travel, you can guarantee atleast 30 min on the buses one way..

I would do breakfast at Ohana
Afternoon and lunch at park
Parade at 3
BBB at the park maybe around 5 or 6 if there is opening and then taken monorail to GF

Your trip wont be too fun with so much running.. Been there done that..

I agree with pp. In order to make everything work on your first day. I would try to get a ressie at BBB in MK. I really don't think that you'll have enough time to do BBB in DTD and get back for a 3:00 MK parade.

What parks are you doing your last two days? If there are no BBB appts in MK on the date/time you want, maybe try DTD BBB for another day and follow that with Princess Storybook dining (Epcot - Norway).

Good Luck!

I really think you have too much planned for one day...you will enjoy it all more if you spread it out a little...

It will take a while just to travel to all those places...you will feel rushed I think. Can you spread some of that stuff out o other days? A suggestion...Ohana is not inside a park so you could even do that on a non-park visiting day. One other thought...an afternoon at MK is not a lot of time...just my opinion....hope it all woks out---have FUN!!! :)

Getting to and from any park to DTD is not easy as you canNOT go directly there. You must go either to a resort and chage buses or to the TTC and get a bus and I'm not sure how often buses run to & from the TTC. Then you have to do it in reverse to get back for the parade.

Also, could you not get an early ADR for breakfast. If I book any ADRs for then, they are as close to 8am as I can get on a non-early EMH day.

Now I think Ohana and Grand Floridian are defanitely do-able on a MK day. We often eat at Ohana for dinner after a day at MK.

I dont see a problem with breakfast at Ohana and dinner at GH after being at the MK all day but the running to DTD back to the park and then to GF is too much and will eat up several hrs of park time.

Dinner at GF may be a nice respite from the park. Especially for the kids..

Also I know my daughter hated (when she was little she is a teen now) wearing the costume around the park for a length of time they tend to get itchy and hot so I would try and make that appt (BBB at the park) for as late as possible, Id call and ask how long it will take and tell them about your ADR at GF they will work with you as much as possible..

I agree you will need more than 1 day at the MK but I noticed you do seem to have two other days

thanks everyone for your advice! monday is what I was afraid of * way too busy!. We are spending sunday afternoon and night at MK too! extra hours til 1am that day! so thats why we are only doing a 1/2 day monday. BBB had no appts available @ the MK thats why we were @ DD, but I think I will call again tomorrow and try to move it around and do something different! THANKS :)

I completely agree with PPs, and would strongly suggest eliminating the trip to DD on Monday. Seems like waaayyy too much travel in the middle.

But if you're bound and determined to get there because you can't get another BBB ressie, I'd suggest walking over to CR to catch the bus to DD from there. I may be wrong (and some will definitely know better than me), but it's probably the quickest way to get a direct bus, rather than trying to catch a bus or monorail to one of the resorts and then waiting for a DD bus from there.

I have 3 ADRs a day (DxDP) for an 8 night stay! But, if you're only there for 4 days do you really want to spend all that time at TS? :confused3

ITA with above posters. In addition, if you're planning to stay as late as 1 am at MK the night before, unless you're staying at a monorail resort, you might find it a challenge trying to get two little ones (and dad!) to an ADR at 9:15 the next morning. If you're using the buses to get there, that means leaving your resort as early as 7:45 if you follow the "allow 90 minutes" transportation recommendations. If you opt to keep the BBB at DTD, perhaps just plan to eat breakfast or an early lunch at DTD instead.

I know how hard it is when you're taking a shorter trip your first time. You want to do it all :)

Looks good to me. We had the DxDDP for 12 days. I planned some days w/ 3 meals and some w/ only 2. This was w/ a 9yo and 9month old. We never had any problems. I'd rather sit and eat a meal in a less hectic place then say at a CS place. You should do fine. Specially w/ just a breakfast and dinner planned. Good Luck have Fun!!!

Ok so let me rephase this: we are going to be there 6 days 5 nights
arriving sunday and leaving Friday
I changed my ressie from DD to MK @ 5:00pm! i think this will work better! thanks again for everyones help and advice!
Im keeping all my ADRS the same and not going to change anything! :)

Perfect! So glad you were able to get the MK BBB ressie for the perfect time. Your dd princess: will be in the perfect mood to meet Cinderella and Prince Charming at 1900 PF. He may even ask her for a dance ;) Have fun!
