I know that the opening of SWGE has not been announced and there is a flurry of rumors that it will be sometime late June 2019...if not at least summer 2019. Knowing that information am I crazy for planning a trip from 6/8 to 6/15? We are hoping that this is early enough so it is before SWGE opens.
I know there are a few grad nights sprinkled in over that week as well as VidCon (<---not sure what that is or the impact it could have at DL and DCA). Also the fact that school is out etc... What should I expect crowd wise?
We are a family of 5. Our most recent trips were both in late September (2015 and 2017). I have made a reservation at BWPPI - mini suite, reserved a car and priced out park tickets. In 2017 we took full advantage of Maxpass and expect to do so on this trip. I am worried about park ticket prices going up and possibly max pass costs rising as well so if we are serious about this trip I plan to purchase them in Jan 2019. The only thing I am really waiting on is flights. We would fly in to LAX (cheapest option and we have points with Sun Country).
How reasonable is it to plan a day trip to Universal Studios? I was thinking that on one of the days there is a grad night that we would make the drive up to US for the day. We went in 2017 and everyone had a blast so it is on the kids radar.
Any other things to consider? Thanks in advance!
