So by off chance I get a wild hair and decide to call Disney Dining Res. today, just on the random chance I can get seating at Cinderellas Royal Table for breakfast any morning that we are there for the week. I call and low and behold I got an ADR for 4 at 8:30 am on Jan. 2nd!!!!!!! I thought these were the coveted ADR's that you had to book 180 days on the nose. Have I lost my mind to pay 127 for this meal? My DD's are 4 and 7 and love all the princess: My DH thinks I have lost my mind. And I am thinking is this the right choice.

What is everyones opion on this?

TIA

To me it was priceless... but we had a great experience with the princesses and my daughter loved being in the castle. The food was fine, nothing special. The atmosphere was terrific. She wore one of her many princess dresses princess: and just loved the whole thing.

They are only little once.

We did this in Jan for the 1st time. It was a neat experience, & as the above poster said the food was not fantastic but it was good. My DD was 18 mths at the time, so she was a little scared. We are definitely going to do in again now that she loves the princesses. I think your DD's will have a great time. It is vacation, go ahead & get some great pictures!!!

I think you will have a ball, be perpared for a queue to get the photograph take with Cinderella, but it is great they will love it. You may dfind that once is enough for that price, but it is def. worth doing once.

:tink: You are NOT crazy! Far from it! The experience is priceless! We just recently had dinner in The Castle. In my opinion, eating in The Castle is something everyone must do-at least once! And everyone in our family agrees. We were a party of nine-boys, girls, men & women-ages 2 to 50+. And we all had an incredible time!

$127 for breakfast is, well, a bit outrageous, to say the least. I would take the girls to the Toontown Hall of Fame. They have a Princess Room where they could meet the princesses ... and get their pictures taken ... for free!

I hate to be a downer, but I think you're crazy. Go to Epcot and have breakfast with the princesses instead for a savings of $50. I used to eat breakfast in the castle when it was almost the same price as any other character breakfast. Even then, I was not that impressed by it. Eating in the castle is cool, but that's about it. The service was never that good, the food was so-so and the character interaction was always rushed. The new "screw the tourists" pricing means that I won't be back.

just curious, for the price do you at least get more than just bacon an eggs, toast an taters [a standard breakfast] ?

No you're not crazy, it's something that everyone with little girls NEEDS to do! Eating inthe castle is worth it, meeting the princesses one on one is worth it. Breakfast is good too.

Enjoy!

I took my niece in June, mainly for the experience. She's 12, so it was 2 adults, I paid around $75 incl tax & tip. We were on the dining plan but I didn't want to waste 2 credits. I thought the picture package was nice. The food wasn't bad, especially the warm cheese danish.

We are finally trying CRT for the first time after trying for so long. I would have to say it is one of those lifetime things you just have to do. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the reply's... to be honest I think I am doing it a lot for myself. After 20+ trips to the world...well you know. I am going to print this out for DH and we will go from there. I will just have to put on the pouty face and hope for the best.

Thanks again.

IMO, the whole current concept of Cinderella's Royal Table seems like the suits at Disney employed the services of a medium, contacted P.T. Barnum from beyond the grave, and it took him all of maybe thirty seconds to come up with said concept.

Having said all that, if and/or when I have any daughters... well, god help me, but I'm sure I'll be dang near contractually obligated to take them there at least once.

I think the price is outrageous and I would choke on the food while there. I will never be going to this over-priced tourist trap. I'm glad I went last year on the free food promotion for dinner while it was still one TS credit.

1) I am sure you will enjoy yourselves.
2) But, $34 is a bit much for Fruit-Eggs-Bacon-Sausage-Danish-French Toast

I don't think your crazy. I do think the price is crazy, but :confused3 what are you gonna do? I think it a wondeful treat during a Disney vacation. Where else can you eat in a castle with Princesses?

I'm glad we went last year when it was only 1 TS.

This reservation is much easier to get these days because of the ridiculous price and the fact that it is 2 TS credits.

But I think everyone should try it at least once! Enjoy! :goodvibes

I went back and forth on whether to do CRT for breakfast when we went to WDW in March 2006. We decided to do it because I felt it would be our one and only time to really enjoy it with our girls being 5 and 9 at the time. While it was expensive, the atmosphere was great the food was good, not excellent, but not bad. There were five people in our party so we got 2 packages of the Cinderella pictures. I was only expecting one so that was a nice surprise. I am glad that we went. Not sure if we would go back, but glad that we did it.

Dining in The Castle is so much more than just Fruit-Eggs-Bacon-Sausage-Danish & French Toast! If you don't believe me, just ask my 5 yo granddaughter. ;)

In order to make it more affordable, just dd and I will be going. Ds and DH will meet us later when the park opens. That will save us $64. It is expensive for sure but I figure it is a once in a lifetime thing. You are not paying that much for the food but for the characters and theming.
