I thought I read making ADR's has changed now, and you can book your entire trip's ADR's on the 180th day of your FIRST day, right???

So since we are arriving Dec. 30th that means I can book them July 3rd according to the PScalculator. BUT... people going earlier can book those dates now, right???

So, I guess my question is - am I totally SOL in getting an ADR for New Years Eve??

I think I liked it better the old way where you had to call each day. :sad1:

Since you are staying onsite you should be able to. When you stay onsite you can book your ADR's 180 +10 days out.

I don't understand, so I could have started booking ALL my ADR's 10 days BEFORE my 180 days??

I'm just seeing everyone booking NYE already and I'm under the impression I can't book mine till 7/3. Can I book sooner?

If I have read it correctly on other threads you make you ADR's for the first day of your vacation at 180 days out, at that time you can also make them for up to the next 10 days. You can only do this though if you are staying on Disney property.

Please someone else correct me if I am wrong.

Guests staying on site can book 180+10 days out. Meaning you can book your ADRs 180 days from your check in day and also the 10 days following. So, if you have a 7 night vacation you can book all your ADRs in one phone call...if you have a 12 night vacation you will need to make two phone calls.

you got it. If others have a vacation booked for the prior 9 days to new years eve, they can make reservations for NYE, so it is possible for places to be completely booked before you ever have a chance to make a reservation. Seems pretty crazy. It causes people to try and arrive a day earlier than they think most will come so they have that extra day jump start to make ADRs.

Those answering are correct.

On July 3 you will be able to call and make your reservations for 10 days of your trip. July 3 is 180 days before arrival. +10 refers to the 10 days worth of reservations you can make.

So yes, there are some making their NYE reservations because they are arriving 10 days before NYE and their +10 window is already open. Your +10 window opens on July 3.

I wouldn't panic though. 180+10 is only available for those staying on site and Disney generally doesn't release all of the tables until 180 days prior.

For example - Lets say CP has 300 seatings available for NYE. They would release 100 tables for reservations on June 23, 190 days prior to NYE. This will create some availability for those checking in on December 21. This also leaves 200 MORE tables left to release on 7/4 - 180 days before NYE. So those checking in on 12/31 have a chance as well. If they'd released all 300 tables prior to 7/4 - then it wouldn't be fair to those checking in on 12/31. (I don't know the exact percentages of tables released - I just know that they have a formula for this to make it fair for everyone)

Thanks, that makes me feel a little bit better! Guess I will try on 7/3 and see what I can get and then maybe try again on 7/4 and see if anything better might happen to be available.

Now, I've only got 3 days to decide where I want to be on New Years Eve!!!! :confused3

My arrival date is 12/28 and so the ps calculator said 180 days is July 1(tomorrow). I was calling member services at DVC for another reason and then asked about making adr for 12/31/08 and was able to book breakfast and dinner for NYE day with no problem(as dvc member they can make your adr's for you and I always use them). I was planning on tomorrow, but the system let me do it today...you may be able to do the same.

I just called today to make our ADRs and had no trouble getting one for NYE. We are eating at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Hi NJDisneyMom, I know how you feel. I just went through the waiting to call period, but our check-in is 12/27, so I was able to call today. I did get all the times and restaurants I wanted. I hope you have good luck and get all your requests too.:goodvibes I booked Chefs de France for NYE @ 7:00 p.m.

Don't worry too much. Today was my 180 days, and I got all of the restaurants and times I wanted. I think you'll be fine.

You are correct! To the original poster....yes, people checking in 12/23 - 12/29 have first dibs before you.

I wouldnt get too worried, you will find something, just have a plan B ready just in case. Ask about times too. If you want an 8:00am dinner they may say its not available. Depending on the CM you get on the phone, they might offer something close to that time. Sometimes, I have to ask...do you have 7:55 or 8:10 etc.....and they usually do!!
