The Red Lion used to be the Anaheim Maingate Hotel, so that's what it's listed as on that map.
We've stayed there multiple times and really like the hotel. It's walkable however, if you have small kids, it can be a bit of a walk at the end of the day, so we usually take the ART shuttle.
The cons- They charge a parking fee per night. They don't have a spa. They usually only have one or two people at the check in desk, so you may have to wait a bit to check in.
The pros- The hotel and rooms were renovated within the past 2 years, so they're pretty clean and modern (flat screens, white duvet comforters, etc) The beds are pretty comfortable for hotel beds. They have free wi-fi. They have a large fitness center. They have a hot breakfast buffet that's $10/adults and kids under 10 eat free. It has eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, bagels, cereal yogurt, apples and bananas. So, while it's nothing special or unique, it's hot, basic breakfast fare that's decently priced and ensures everyone has a full belly before you head out for the day.
