OK, so we are hooked after our visit to DLP last week and want to book to stay onsite in December 2012 or March 2013.

DH and DS will have AP's and DD will if I cannot include her in the booking - but I thought she would be counted as free as she is under 12.

If I select 4 nights/5 days in Sequoia Lodge for just me for either 19th Dec or 25th March it comes up as £380 but if I add DD it goes up to £502 and just says the stay and play free is for under 7's.

It says it is possible to combine offers, so am I missing something obvious here? It was my intention to try to book SL for myself and DD, buy AP's for DH and DS and add them on to the booking as this seemed the best value.

Does this sound right?

Kids under 12 free is not usually applicable for winter dates until January, so that would explain why theres a jump in price for your December dates when you add your DD to the booking.

Is 25th March 2013 just outside the relevant offer period too? Usually its January til March that the under-12s offer is on, is there some information regarding this particular offer and its relevant dates on the official DLP site (sorry I can't use the official site from work to find it).

Apart from that, your plan to add your DH and DS name-only at check in is the sensible way of staying onsite, yes :).

I haven't read the small print but is the kids under 12 offer dependant on 2 paying adults or something? otherwise maybe check the dates of the offer in the fine print :confused3

Looking at the dlp site, the offer for free under 12 and up to 30% off is for arrivals up until 7 November.

After this, it's 2 days/nights free. When I just checked it came up with £471 for 1 adult and £593 for 1 adult and 1 child. That was for 19 Dec.

no, one adult is usually fine for this offer from January to a date in March each year (its a standard offer). Last year we went as one adult and 2 kids under 12 (aged 9 and 10) and both kids went free :).

Jules I've just had a look on disneyland paris direct, ran a dummy booking for one adult, one 10-year old in mid-January 2013. The Cheyenne and the Santa Fe are both showing free kids under 12, 33% off on a 3 night/4 day stay, and a price for one adult and one free child of around £300. So the offer is definitely there, it may be that you need to play around with your dates a bit?

Thanks everyone - I think it was me just being thick (or having wishful thinking!) and it doesn't apply for the date in December. I did just get it to work for the other date in March, so I think on balance we will have to forgo the pre Christmas trip in favour of the better value.

Good job I checked close out dates for the Francillian AP, as there are closed out dates right on either side of our proposed visit of 25th - 29th March!

Is it correct that in order to pay 15% deposit now and balance later I need to book by telephone? And do I add the AP holders nearer the date or once we arrive?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but the depth of knowledge on here is so, so helpful!

yes, phone to pay the 15% deposit now, then if you really want to, you can call the hotel direct a couple of days before you go, and tell them there will be 4 guests staying in the room, but the other 2 guests don't need park tickets. At the Santa Fe and Cheyenne you shouldn't really need to do this, as I don't think they have any rooms for 2, I think its all rooms for 4 as standard.

OMG! I have done it! Within 5 days of returning, I have booked another trip. It is going to seem a VERY long wait until March though. I spoke to a lovely American lady and told her that I wonder how it will all seem after Dreams and she was very interested to know my thought on it and said that they are trying to think how they can top that. I said that I don't think they can!

Thank you for all the help - I can't believe that we will be stying in an onsite hotel next time for less than offsite!!!!!! :yay:

OK, so how do I get a ticker now please? :)

congratulations on booking again :goodvibes.
I usually just google Disney tickers, then choose a ticker from whichever site I fancy.

Congratulations, glad you managed to work something out :goodvibes
