Am I being impatient?.... dumb question

I call the disney wedding number last Monday and spoke to the receptionist person. She said someone would be calling me and that she would send out the planning packet. I have not heard from anyone or recieved the packet. How long does it take for the packet to come and for someone to call you.

I know I'm being impatient but I have a million questions and even though it is a year away I really want to get started planning.

It took 2 days for an intimate wedding coordinator to call me back. We spoke for a while and he was able to answer some of my questions but he couldn't answer other questions about the package and add ons that I want due to our wedding being over a year and 3 months away. The wedding packet took about 3 weeks to come in. You can look at the disney fairytale website and hopefully that will help you some.

You're not being impatient at all. This is your wedding and having to wait for replies is nerve racking. i'm the same way. Just try and be patient.

I think when I requested a wedding planner call me last week it said up to 7 days before I would get a call back. They called in two days..I was suprised.

I am going to say that yeah, you're a little impatient...but it is TOTALLY understandable!! I was impatient too and my sales manager called within two days! LOL!! You are excited and nervous and have lots of questions...and only one source can answer them...so, again, your "impatience" is justified!!

I just want to mention that I would bet the response times will vary some depending on when you are planning to schedule your wedding. When I called in March or April, my sales manager called within two days and I got in touch with my wedding coordinator about two weeks later...but my wedding is next month (a total of 5 or 6 months of planning time).

Since you are still a year out (even though that is generally when you are supposed to start planning), you do have plenty of time with Disney Fairy Tale Weddings as your coordinator. Take plenty of time to look around the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding website and make some tentative plans. Look for dresses (if you haven't already)...

Some of the folks at DFTW are very quick to respond, some are not as quick...but they have always responded. Keep in mind too that some might be on vacation and that they may be busy with weddings each day as well...

Rest assured that everything will work out wonderfully and they will give you the same extremely courteous attention as soon as they can!

I know that I'm an impatient person to some extent. I mean I'm told I have the patience of a saint when it comes to dealing with children (I run a daycare) and people. But when I decide I want something or want to do something I tend to get impatient with waiting for that.
I'm also a planner. I get alot of pleasure from planning events. I starting gathering ideas and such for my children's birthdays for the next year often before this year's is even through. Or like now... this year's wdw vacation is 19 days away and already I'm planning next year's which is when our vr will be. Not just a vr, but our Dream ceremony.

So thank you all for understanding and giving encouragement.

I have already started looking at dresses online, as well as other wedding essentials. I cannot wait to actually dress shop... I'm under doctor's orders to loose weight; I've lost 40 and have 50 more to go. I'm so excited about the prospect of looking great in a great wedding dress.

Ladies ..I toldly understand!!!!!!!!!!

I originally called in Feb of this year to plan. Turns out I only reserved the date at that time and was told I would be called shortly also. I hadnt hear anything for 5 months so called about a months ago and was told I wouldnt hear anything until late Aug/early Sept. Apparently its because of 2006 pricing and changes. Its hard to be so patient when my wedding is 5 months away and Im on a budget. Plus Im have reception following after the honeymoon so i cant make any last minute date changes . Anywho...thanks for whoever reads this..needed to vent alittle Good Luck to you all!! now I need chocolate yum
