Right now, I have an ADR for lunch at Biergarten for 12:05 pm on our arrival day. Our flight is due to arrive in MCO at 9:50 am and we'll be taking ME. Am I allowing enough time to check in at GF and get all the way to Germany in EPCOT or should I just grab lunch at the GF Café?

Right now I'm leaning toward canceling Biergarten and taking it easy at the Grand after the stress of traveling. But it's the one restaurant that DH showed even a little interest in and if it is doable, then I'll do it for him and relax later.

Opinions? Should I lace up my running shoes or break out the slippers?

I think the average time is 3 hours from plan landing to ADR. If it is something that your hubby really wants then I would keep it even if it meant being a little late.

I would also try for a later time or even another day. If you check online everyday you may luck out!

A lot depends on how busy they are that day. We have had to wait almost 30 minutes before checking in for the ME and then almost another half hour to get on a bus because the first one was filled up before we got the head of the line. Then you can figure about a 45-60 minute drive to get to your resort. I would keep trying to get it moved a little later too. Good luck.

I'm a "got to be on time " kind of person. So, I would never cut things this close. I'd be obsessing on every leg of the trip! Don't need that stress on vacation. If you're not that way, leave it alone. If you make it, fine. If not, stay at GF. You would need everything to click, to make this one.

I think that even if things went very smooth with very short lines at MS, you will be looking at arriving at your resort at about Noon.

The one question I would have is…Do you have plans to go to Epcot on your arrival day regardless of whether you eat at Biergarten or not? If not, I would suggest trying to get a ADR for Biergarten later in the week.

I don't think you've allowed enough time. I'd try for a dinner reservation or move the lunch to another day.

There are many factors that play into arrival time none of which you can pre-plan for.

Thanks for the input everyone.

We have ADRs for the CP that evening, so I really don't want to make a lunch ADR as late as 2 pm. By the time we finished lunch it would be time to arrive for our dinner reservation!

Besides, if we have to wait 2 hours after landing to get to WDW, we're probably going to want to eat as soon as we finish check in. Those airline crackers don't go very far to fill you up! I'm not sure when we'll be able to fit the Biergarten in during the rest of the week. But this will give me a good excuse to plan another trip. ;)
