Relax & have fun!
If you're flying, fly in the night before so you don't fee panicked the 1st day of your cruise. Try to schedule a flight out in the afternoon if you're leaving the same day that the cruise gets back.
With 3 people in a cabin, pick up an inexpensive over-the-door shoe holder (hanging plastic). Since there is limited counter space in the bathrooms, toiletries fit perfectly & are easily available.
Check out as much as possible here on the cruise boards - there's TONS of fantastic information! Read the trip reports and cruise meets threads (especially just after people get back & start posting about their trip)
Most importantly, Relax & have fun!

Cool!! I wish booking airlines made the time pass faster -- I never unpacked from my last cruise so I'm ready to go for the next one! (I wish they were that close ...)


What airline do you fly? I've been checking Jetblue, our preferred airline and they are not booking yet. Didja get a great deal?

Since we're up by SFO our preferred Air is United. We were able to book both of us on great flights for $350 +/- (OK, we cheated & used air miles for one of us, but still...). We get in on the 8th in the evening, and leave on the 19th at 6pm.

It's our second DCL, first 7 day.

My ILs will be in the cabin next door. It's their first DCL cruise but they've done other cruise lines. I know they will love DCL!

Just un-booked and re-booked for the following week - 2 days at Castaway Cay instead of Key West!

Add us to those crusing on Sept 9! This will be our 5th cruise (most in September). In fact, in September of 2004, we danced around the ocean with THREE hurricanes sharing the sea. Although we had a very strange itinerary (changing hour by hour), we had a blast and a wonderful time! If there is a hurricane, we'll just have to be flexible. We might miss some ports, but new ones will be added.

Cruising in our cabin will be DD (6), DS (2), DH, and me! Also, my best friend is also coming on this cruise with her 16 month old. We are totally looking forward to this cruise, is it September yet?

I finally found someone else that is going on 09/09/06. My family and I are going, we have two kids, 5 and 8. We are all so excite. First cruise for all of us. Our Disney Cruise DVD came int he mail last night and we watched it. It just seems so far away.

We will be sailing with a 10 year old girl and a 6 year old girl who've never been on the cruise. Do any of you have kids about the same age that would like to correspond and help build the excitment? We are with you...our honeymoon. We are spending 5 nights at the Grand Floridian first. First cruise altogether.

Congratulations! I love the Grand Floridian! It's such and awesome resort. You will have a wonderful time. This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise, but our first 7 night one. We will be traveling with our 4 children 11, 9, 3 and 9 month old. These will be their ages at the time of travel. We will also be with my mother and father- in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their two children 3, and two.

I was wondering what happened to all of us. Things got so quiet here. I guess it's because it seems so far away right now. I hope everyone has a great week.

Hello All,
I have not posted much as I was not sure if I would be going on this cruise, but as of today I'm going.

Last Sept. while at the airport ready to fly out for our land & sea cruise, my Co-Disney Nut, travel partner, and my best friend, my Mother had a heart attack and passed away a few days later , we also had this cruise booked, so I was not sure if I would do the cruise or not, while I made my mind up and will do the cruise, I drop down to a cat. 9 room from a cat. 7 and will give solo cruising a try. The only thing I worried about is how the dinners will go, would hate to be know as the scary single guy

See, that's the cool thing about the DIS - you'll make friends before you go & won't have to sit alone (I'm betting you end up linking your dinner reservation with someone here before we sail).

I am Soooooooo ready for September. We just had the most rainy March in who knows how long (I know we broke some kind of record) in California, and I'm thinking about sunshine and sand in the Carribean.
