Can someone please explain how am emh's work at MK now that everyone is let onto Main St an hour before park opening. Do they scan bands to get on rides from 8-9 (during emh) or do they scan at the check-point to enter Fantasyland and Tomorrowland? Is EVERYONE allowed to wander Fantasy and Tomorrow Lands starting at 8am or only those with the emh privilege(those staying at a Disney resort) while everyone else is held on Main Street?

From what I understand, everyone is let on Main Street at same time. Then you proceed to lands where your magic band is scanned, then you are let in for the EMH. :) Only people eligible for EMH are actually let into the land, I guess everyone else either waits at the rope or stays on Main Street.

We were there Friday right around 8am and it seemed like no one was being let through the gates yet but maybe it was just a clog of people at the same time. We did not get our bands scanned more than once.

We will be doing this in a couple of weeks...Wondering if a 7:30 am arrival is advisable? Or earlier? We don't want to be stuck behind the crowds if possible. :D TIA!

I was wondering if 7:30 a.m. was early enough too?

Thanks!

So were your bands only scanned at the main entrance to MK and not at the lands?

Thanks!

I would arrive an hour ahead

Everyone is let onto Main Street. Bands are scanned to leave Main Street and enter the lands. Then only emh guests are around the rides and riding

That happened once, AFAIK. (I was there, and it worked great.)

But, it apparently is no longer the "system" they use.
I have read of no other EMHs where they did that. Shame.

Robo, what is the "system" they use now? I am trying to search for it on the boards, but am having difficulty finding information.

Thanks!

It's the one they've used for several years at MK AM EMH.

If you are a guest at a WDW Resort, don't worry about how it works,
but DO take the resort bus to MK on an EMH morning.

Be at the resort bus stop by 7:10, or so, for an 8AM EMH.
