What's it like doing rope drop to 7 Dwarfs when it's extra magic hours at MK. Will it be a significantly shorter wait than on a regular day? Or does it still seem very crowded? I've never done EMH.

Any rope drop should be significantly shorter than any other time in standby, except if you get lucky enough to be wandering by right as they reopen after being closed during the day for a mechanical issue.

If you get there at rope drop and walk directly to 7DMT it will build a line pretty quickly, but it'll still be relatively short.

EMH is usually better because fewer guests will get up an hour earlier to be at the parks.

If you head over at rope drop, the wait would be walk on to 20 minutes depending on how fast you get over there. If you go straight, maybe a few minutes wait. If you are thinking about other attractions as well, the later in the EMH hour, the longer the line. I would guess no more than 30-40 minutes max if near park opening time. It does depend on when you are going. The busier the season, the more people that will be in the park for EMH. Good luck.

Thanks. The trip is in September. And the EMH is on a party day, so the predicted crowd level is low. Originally planned a different park for this day, but I think I'll switch it to MK and make use of the morning EMH.

Get there well before rope drop and position yourself at the gate to have the shortest standby time. I would shoot for 45 minutes prior to scheduled rope drop.

Agree with PP. Getting there at 8 if the park opens at 8, even on a low crowd day, will "feel' crowded while watching the welcome show. Aim to be at the front of that pack (arriving more like 7:15am), and you should be able to get a lot done when the park opens!

Yep, mornings are always shorter wait times than later in the day. What those wait times actually are though, depends on the crowd level. I've seen short wait times for the Mine Train at 20 minutes and I've seen (not in the morning, but nevertheless) the same ride with a 200 minute wait. Anything less than an hour, I count as a "short" wait for that ride, since the newness hasn't worn off for guests.
