Alyssa & Ryan PJ - 12.07.09 - Final location decisions made! =)

Hi Alyssa!

Congratulations and welcome to the boards! I'm soooo loving all your pictures and ideas so far. Your centerpiece inspirations are fantastic :)

I'm getting married in August 2009 and I'm definitely disneymooning afterwards:goodvibes

I added some links that have tons of pics for ceremonies and reception locations:

THANK YOU!

I'm sold on the centerpieces. (i'm thinking of using the rectangular tables and making a long row) so here's the plan: The vase with the orchid and candle and the flower arrangements (recycled from ceremony) alternate along the center as well surrounded by the petals and votive candles.

If that makes sense

I'm just hung up on the cake.

What do you think?

Thanks to an extensive DFTW review with my DF this morning, we have finally sealed the deal (at least in our minds) on where we will be hosting our shindig! WOOHOO!! ...I knew DF had opinions in him somewhere...

Although I thought we were set on the WP, once we changed reception locations, DF thought we should do something a little different....and that lead to.......drumroll please....

:jumping1:

THE UK!!!!

The lovely UK ceremony shall be followed by a reception at....

The Attic

(Carrie, you totally convinced me! :thumbsup2 )

DF also decided we should totally go for the DP @ UK lower terrace

...I'm so excited that things are getting settled....now beings the 20 month journey... :cool1:

Hooray!!!

Now about the UK - if you're getting married in the Gazebo area, I'd be interested to know what they plan to do with the gazebo during the ceremony. I used to see pix of the couple being married inside the gazebo, but the last wedding I saw there, the brown curtains were down to hide a bunch of the The British Invasion's equipment inside the gazebo and the couple could only stand in front of it - boo!

That's about the only concern of mine...however, seeing the location in person again, this time with a wedding in mind, might open up more possibilities for my imagination. So I'm thinking that *if* we do run into that snafu, we're just gonna have to get creative. =) Basically, if I can't get married in the gazebo, it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

We're going there this December for our usual Christmas Vacation, so I figured I would start making a list of things to try to figure out while I'm there...kill two birds with one stone...multitask...you know how it goes. :rotfl:

Ahhh! :cloud9: I'm so thankful I'm marrying someone who enjoys Disney *almost* as much as I do. :lmao:

Thought I would jump in and say congratulations and say you are getting married on my two year wedding anniversary.

Congratulations on deciding on a ceremony and reception location!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I absolutely love your second cake with the green orchids. Gorgeous!
