I'm watching this now with DS and one of the chipmunks just sang "Dave likes to wear smelly underwear with little hairs!" umm, really? That's TMI!

It's even worse when your 5-year-old repeats it over and over and OVER! :headache: I couldn't figure out what it was from at first. Then I thought she must have misheard, because would they really say that? :confused3 Yep. Maybe I'm over-reacting a bit, but the "hairs" part takes it from silly to a bit raunchy in my mind!

I don't think your over reacting. It's totally unnecessary.

Never surprised anymore, but it's totally unnecessary for something touted as a children's movie.

It is not a "children's" movie. The PG rating means:

PG — Parental Guidance Suggested. Some Material May Not Be Suitable For Children. A PG-rated motion picture should be investigated by parents before they let their younger children attend. The PG rating indicates, in the view of the Rating Board, that parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children, and parents should make that decision. The more mature themes in some PG-rated motion pictures may call for parental guidance. There may be some profanity and some depictions of violence or brief nudity. But these elements are not deemed so intense as to require that parents be strongly cautioned beyond the suggestion of parental guidance. There is no drug use content in a PG-rated motion picture.

it's dirty underwear, not smelly:lmao:

I can say without a doubt that THAT line is the worst line in both chipmumk movies. I hate it!

That's gross. Glad I didn't see it. I don't care what the rating was or whether the viewer is a kid or adult - who wants that image in their head? How do people find that kind of "humor" funny ??

The movies are very cute with the exception of that 5 seconds. We have both movies and both soundtracks. My kids know what they can repeat and what they CANNOT repeat. That quote is most definitely on the DO NOT REPEAT list.:thumbsup2

Shows how much I pay attention, my daughter has watched that movie a million times at least and I don't remember that line at all.
