a sign that the resort is going to be pretty un-occupied? I mean, it hasnt even opened yet and they are already offering Discounts for passholders on rooms. Might be a loooonnnggg slow life for Disney Hawaii.
I'dve booked a DVC room and would frequent this island if it weren't for the astronimical airfares.
I'm sure thats why ALOT of Disney resorts are not traveling here.

Seeing that in 3 weeks I'll be calling to book our spring break trip at 7 months this news isn't bad to me. I do hope that long term, after Japan starts to recover from the Tsunami and IF the economy in the US makes a turn people will take advantage of this resort. From the images I've seen its amazing and we can't wait to spend a week there in March. I do agree that the distance will be a barrier that keeps us from being regular visitors. So far we've been able to gather enough points to get 3 out of 4 airline tickets free but I can't see that being the case very often.
