Last time I went to Alton Towers was on my honeymoon 20 years ago in 1988!! I guess it's changed quite a bit since then!!

Great trip report and pics. We love Alton Towers (we have been AP holders for years now.) BTW Rita goes to 100kmph not mph, people just presume it is mph as they very craftily just say 1-100!! Although, it is very fast!!

Thanks so much for all the pictures of Alton Towers. Makes me fondly remember our trip there last summer. We were visiting the UK and decided to try out a theme part there (after my son begged us). We loved the coasters and the gorgeous park, but the most adventurous part of the trip: getting there! We loved the way there -- imagine approaching Disney through the woods. (We had to stop the car while a farmer herded his cattle across the road about 2 miles before we arrived at the park. So different from the traffic and clutter surrounding theme parks in the states.) Anyway, thanks for the lovely reminder.
