Hi

We are planning our day trip to Paris whilst visiting DLP. Can anyone tell me how much it was and what food they offer? Is it really worth eating here?

My dh wants to eat at McDonalds :sad2: and its my first visit to Paris so I want to make this special even though we will be taking our children, but I am so excited I would really like to see and do things that are special but do not cost the earth.

We have planned to do a River Sienne Cruise.

Thanks
:thumbsup2

Hi

Its on the Eiffel Tower. ;)

Altitude 95 is an ok restaurant. It does its job but in Paris there are much better restaurants. If you want a better one at the Eiffel tower, try the Jules Verne. It is more upscale.

Or better you could also try the various little cafes where the locals eat and get a better feel of Paris. These are much more reasonable on prices and you get the atmosphere.

If you want more details let me know. I grew up in Paris... ;-)

The Jueles Verne is indeed a much better choice (with far better views) but it's far more costly than altitutde 95.

You can email them at altitude-95.rv@elior.com or phone them on 33 (0)1 45 55 20 04. They will fax you a menu if you ask nicely! I'd recommend booking prior to travel and ask for a torcadero view.

When viewing the prices, remember that you also have to pay for access to the first floor.

The Jules Verne is an excellent choice, but is very expensive.

On a return flight from Paris, I spoke with a fellow passenger and we compared notes about highlights of our visits. He said their lunch for eight people (four adults and four children) at Jules Verne cost $1,800.

I suggest checking the menu prices before booking.

There are some really nice french bristros on the streets which we ate at, they do not cost alot and we thought they were great, you can sit and watch the world go buy.

And what wine did they drink?? :) :)

Lunch menu are offered starting a 50 euros...

It is not cheap but it is not outrageous either unless you want it to be... :) :)

We ate at Altitude 95 on 1st June, two adults and 2 kids. It was a lovely relaxing meal with a great view!

DH and I shared prawns as a starter, we both had steak and puddings and coffee, the boys had chicken and fries and ham and fries and chocolate mousse I think. With drinks it cost E110 I think. There was a set menu at about E25 pp, but we didn't fancy anything on it! Service was friendly and efficient.

Hope that helps.

Hi

Thanks for all of your help. If we have time once we are up the Eiffel Tower and we like the menu we will definately go. It seems so romantic to eat at the Eiffel Tower although we have our children it will still be nice.

Cant wait
