I have read that the Nemo ride can be scary for little ones. has anyone tried the observation room instead of the ride? How would I go about asking for the room instead of the submarine? I think it would be good to know just in case the DD2 gets spooked! Thanks!:thumbsup2

There are 2 lines, one of the line is the submarine line, the other is the handicap line.

Just head over to the handicap line, explain to the CM standing guard that you would like to go on the ride but the little ones are scared to go on it, and would like to go to the observation room instead. They will take you in there and allow you to view it. :)

In addition to the PP go over to the exit of the ride, and let them know your going to wait for the observation room- majority of handicap riders actually go on the subs- but not a lot go in the observation room. You don't want to go into the handicap line and wait an hour or more when odds are you'll wait 15 20 mins tops [depending on how many people want to use it]

DH and I have tried both the observation room and the actual subs and we prefer the observation room- less crowded, AC whats not to love??

We've never waited more than 10 minutes for it, and thats during peak summer season.:thumbsup2

Shhhh! :ssst: Don't spread it around about the observation room! :rotfl2: It's one of the little known secrets.

I love only having to wait a few minutes (only if someone else is in there) to ride. It's perfect for my DM who has claustrophobia. Also if any one has difficulty with stairs. And thirdly if you don't want to ride in the non-A/C subs in the middle of a hot summer day. :rotfl2: So nice and cool in that room. :cloud9:

I've done it. It's a tv screen where you watch the action. It's good for little kids I guess, but it's pretty boring. I would NOT use it unless there was no other choice. You lose the whole WOW factor of the ride. The person I went with there was no other choice other than skipping it so I did it.

Thanks for the info, I will head to the exit line and see how it goes. I would love to go on the subs, but I dont think DD2 will like the close quarters.

the guy would most likely stop you when you try to go into the exit. what i meant to say is approach the guy standing at the front of the Handicap line. :)
