My DDs are 7 and 5 we have been to WDW twice before and haven't done BBB. We are going again this fall and although I know they would love a trip to BBB, the expense is pretty great. We are already adding some other extras to the trip. Can anyone recommend another great experience that is a little les pricey?
thx.

I haven't done it but I heard a hair style at the Main Street Barber shop is pretty inexpensive. Doesn't include the make-up and princess dress but if you are like me you'll already have the dress and I just don't do make-up for my girls...so it's preferable. I wish I had thought of it before our trip. You can find the little tiaras they put in the girls hair at almost any Disney parks store once you are there in 3 colors (pink, blue or white gems)

Are you or any one with you military. SoG spa offers princess make overs for half the price. I hear anyone can use the spa their, but you have to walk up.

Can you do their hair? Search on here for Princess Hair or how to do BBB hair.

I posted a few YouTube videos that I found that show you how to do the hair at BBB.

These are all good suggestions. I have a few ideas for what to do. My girls are not expecting anything like that because we haven't done it in the past. This time they know BBB exists because some friends have done it. We are doing some other extras and our trip is pretty jam packed, so I wanted to have a plan in case this becomes something they are fascinated by. Thanks for the advice.:thumbsup2

I called the Main Steet Barber shop about girls hair styles. They no longer do them. FYI

Nothing at all for girls, no pixie dust or anything? I'm so disappointed. I really don't like the BBB styles and my oldest wouldn't be into it. I thought they would both love a style with glitter. : (

Thanks!

I've seen girls come by BBB and just get their hair sprinkled. Last summer we had a bit of a wait and I saw at least 10 girls come in and get pixie dust for free. So if you did their hair yourself, just put it up, there's that option.

I second (or third?) the Pirates League. They have two cool "girl" packages, one is a mermaid and one is a pirate princess. They get to choose a "pirate" name, get a makeover and a small treasure box with their extra make up, a sash, a sword and a professional portrait as part of the package. I think the mermaid package is around $45 and the pirate empress was aroun $35.

I hope you find something special and fun. :)

you can do BBB for pretty cheap if you bring your own costumes and just do the basic hair do.....
but pirates league was awesome as well
my dd did both and she wants to go back to pirates more than BBB

The first time I took DD to BBB, we did the whole package but she needed a dress etc because she had grown out of hers. We didn't have a place near us to get them any cheaper at the time.

The second time we just did the hair and make-up and it was definitely enough.

We did BBB once and I watched them style, picked up how to do the bun, as well as watched YouTube videos. Now, we take our own costumes( bc we literally have every one) have makeovers at the resort, then go by BBB and they will pixie dust your hair! Everyone raves over them just like they left the boutique. No one will ever know. :) my girls are 7 and 5 as well.

I would bring your own dress and do the least expensive package at BBB. You get a lot in addition to the experience ( a bag, nail polish, a hair clip, makeup, pics on your PP).

Plus, it is TOTALLY worth every penny if you get the earliest reservation and get to enter the parks before it opens. Walking up to the castle when there are just a handful of people, and all the 'fairy godmothers' are standing outside waiting for your princess.
