experience the new buns/pizza crusts that others are complaining about?? Are they more noticeable at CS, or have you had them at Sci-fi, Primetime, etc?? I'm just curious where the changes are taking place and how recently you were there... :)

My parents were in wdw two weeks ago and said the only place they noticed the buns being hard and tasteless was at Casey's.

We were there in April and no one noticed a thing. I didn't tell and they didn't notice....

Thanks. :) I may not get many answers but thought I'd try anyway. I've seen a mixture of comments on other threads, anywhere from "everywhere we ate the buns were terrible", to "the only place we noticed was Casey's". I'm just curious and would like to know for certain before we go and order a tasteless burger in June.

Just had pizza at Pizza Planet this last week (2 times), didn't notice anything different the first time and *might* have noticed a hint of multi-grain in the crust the second time...I loved the pizza there as usual.

Not that WWoS is a popular destination but had a hamburger there a few weeks ago while at DC Games and it was on a wheat bun - TERRIBLE!!! Later in the week had the chicken sandwich and it was on a much better white bun. Didn't care if I had another hamburger all week honestly.

We had the buns at:

LTT
Beaches and Cream
Blizzard Beach
Pecos Bills
Captain Cooks
American Pavillion

Now....the buns aren't disgusting, they are just different and IMO the Burgers and Hot dogs just weren't as good on them. They have a different taste/texture than the soft white bleached buns that i prefer.

I've had them at Casey's, Goods to Go, and Cosmic Rays. Different, but not worse. Soft, squishy, with little flecks of brown.

In my experience, the complaints are a tempest in a teapot.

We were in at WDW 2 weeks ago too and also had the hot dogs at Casey's and all 4 of us LOVED them! I am craving one of those dogs so bad right now! Our family likes wheat bread so it was fine for us.

We ate at Pizza planet a couple weeks ago too and really enjoyed. We all thought the crust was great!

We had a normal white bun for our cheeseburger at the CS place in Olivia's last month.

I had a frankfurter with saurkraut on a bun at Sommerfest in Epcot Monday night. The bun was still soft and white - Phew:thumbsup2

We had wheat buns all over!! They were gross!
Even the waffles were wheat!!! At the POP!!

Ok. Sounds like we might be okay. I do prefer a soft white "squishy" bun, but we are also used to buying whole wheat and/or low fat buns here so it may not be that bad. It does sound as though the Disney Co. may need to think twice about the change, though. Thanks for your answers.:)

We had multigrain pizza crust at Pizzafari, Pizza Planet, POR, PO_FQ, and Epcot Pizza stand. We had multi grain buns at Typhoon Lagoon, POR, PO-FQ, Cosmic Rays, Elec Umbrella at Epcot. 1900 Park Fare had multi grain pizza and pasta on the kids buffet. I'm not sure if all pasta was multi grain but the sauce less pasta was. The mac and cheese looked like regular pasta.

i had the "wheat" buns at Goods to Go, which is the CS place at OKW. I went to Leaning Palms at Typhoon Lagoon, and did not have a wheat bun on my Chicken sandwhich.

Thanks to all those that reported in:thumbsup2

Disney is really getting on my nerves with this. Especially the pizza crust thing...you just don't do that to pizza!!

May need to rethink some places...or bring in my own buns!!

Can you see that at security:

SECURITY: Excuse ma'am what do you have in the bag there?

ME: My soft, white tasty buns!! Don't even think about touching them!!!

:rotfl2:

Yep! I had to look twice at my dd's mickey waffles... She did eat them. But I didn't say anything either!
