Currently we have the regular dining plan. However, I am seriously considering switching it to quick service plan b/c:
1. My kids - 2 boys - care nothing about meeting the characters. Even though I have tried to pump them up about it, all they want to know is "When do we get to go ride the Buzz ride?" and "How many pennies can I press?"
2. I eat very little meat; after reviewing the menus for the places with the best recommendations, there was hardly anything on the menu that I would be excited about eating. And neither my husband nor I are fond of buffets. Plus, my husband rarely eats more than 1 meal a day.
3. I don't like the thought of dedicating 2 hrs. a day to eating and having to be a slave to a dinner ressie.
4. We got the park hopper so we could move freely around when the urge strikes. Now with having to make ADRs, we're more limited in where we can go and when.
5. Tipping is not included anymore on TS meals. We're looking at around $60-$70 extra in tips for TS meals.
SO.....what do you think? I know we'll only save $168 plus what we would have had to leave in tips - perhaps for a total closer to $250 - but hey, in this economy, that's quite a bit. And I'm just not fond of having to keep track of where we need to be when in order to eat - I would rather spend my strategy time planning out fastpasses and avoiding massive crowds!
