We already own at BWV, but I'm interested in BLT. Can I just go up to the DVC kiosk where we are staying in July and ask about a tour? Would there be an incentive given to us?

Thanks - Di :)

My friend, it seems as though you are suffering from addonitis.

It is a very common condition that floats around these boards, preying on the starry eyed, the dreamy, and those in love with the Mouse.

My deepest condolences for your wallet!

YES - you can ask there, OR you can call your guide in advance and let them know you will be there and prearrange a tour during your visit.

OR - you can contact your guide NOW and add on from home. BLT is rumored to sell out before the end of summer - and there are promotions/incentives going on right now, so I would call today if I were you and get all the information you need to make a decision.

Of course, I'm not saying you have to make a decision today, but it's so much easier to make a decision when you have all of the right information in front of you!

Best of luck - and be aware that addonitis never goes away, and at times gets worse - the only cure is either an add-on or a trip to a Disney park.

:lmao:

Somone also posted there is a rumor the BLT will sell for $140 a point in July with no incentives. Don't know how true, but maybe your guide can shed some light on that for you also

there are member-specific opportunities to visit BLT for sales presentations. i'm sure the kiosk CMs can help you but you might just want to call your guide ahead of time.

i wouldn't expect to be eligible for gift cards but they might throw you some ice cream or knick-knacks...

Thanks for the info! We purchased in 1999 and boy, compared to now, that was a steal for the points!

I will call Larry and touch base with him. We actually have a few days where we don't have much scheduled and I planned on attending Welcome Home Wednesday - anyone know where it meets??? But I'd like a more personalized tour. IF they throw some knick knacks our way, that would be great. Not sure we can buy now, but something small for our time would be nice.

Thanks again - Di :thumbsup2

Welcome Home Wednesdays are held at the Atlantic Dance Hall on the Boardwalk!

We did it for the first time back in December and had SO MUCH FUN!
I got to participate in the game show! IT WAS A BLAST!
We will definitely do it again!

Now I want to hop on a plane and go see Mickey!

Anyone know the time? We will be at AKV-Kidani on a Wednesday so I'd need to know what time so I can take the bus system over there.

Thanks - Diane

Thanks! That will work out well and I've also left a message for our guide, Larry to let him know we will be there and want a tour.

Thanks everyone!

Personally, I'd be tempted just to buy more BWV - on resale they've gone for as low as the mid $40's.

to the OP:

i assume you know, but just in case you don't: be aware that you cannot mix BLT pts with BWV pts until the 7 month window. if you owned 1000 BWV pts and added on 100 BLT pts, you would have 100 BLT pts available to book BLT at the 11 month window, and 1100 pts to book whatever is available at the 7 month window.

I have a friend that called our guide last week to discuss purchase at BLT.
She was told $133 PP, don't remember the incentives..

I just added on 50 pts at BLT this week and base price is $140, they do have some incentives but there not great. I got $4 off pp and I'm still in shock I paid that much but I needed pts by tomorrow to book at 11 mo window. Plus we got 2010 pts and only have to pay prorated maintenance fees for the rest of the year and I was able to bank the points even though its past my banking deadline.

Hi Di,

You may have thought of this, but why not simply stay in a BLT room for your next trip? A split stay (for the first or last night) may be in order, or I would be tempted to use some points to simply book a parallel room at BLT just to test drive it, while remaining at BWV (book BLT in your spouse's name).

There really is no substitute for staying in the room for a night.
