Thumbs up or thumbs down? I am attending a convention at the ACC and this is literally across the street. Under $50 a night and free continental breakfast. Pretty much as long as the roaches won't eat me and I won't get robbed, I think I'll be happy, LOL but wanted to see if anyone had any experience there.

TIA

I stayed here a very long time ago. It was okay. It is an older two story motel. It is nothing special but is close to the Conventions center and backs up against the Disney Parkinglot. The rooms were remodeled in the last 3-4 years. I have nopt ready any recent reviews of the place so don't know if they have any problems. It is still in the AAA guide so thats a good sign....usually.

We walked by it on our way back to our hotel twice, once in Oct. 2001 and again in Sept. 2002. From the outside, it looked rather quiet and deserted, and I remember wondering if anyone even stayed there.

For $50, I believe you can do so much better on Priceline. In Oct. 2001, we got the Anaheim Marriott (next to the convention centre) for $50/night. In Sept. 2002, we got the Hyatt Orange County for $42/night.

Good luck in finding your accommodations!

My problem with priceline, is that I don't know how to submit a bid so that I could for sure get that hotel. I can find other hotels for the same price, but being that we will be walking the convention center floor for hours each day, no one is looking to be more than a block away from the convention center. Especially with my little one. I've never used priceline before, but I have looked at it, and I can't figure out how to specify the hotel I want.

That is the way Priceline works. You don;t get to pick a hotel. They do. You have no choice (other than the general area you pick) in the hotel you get. You choose the Disneyland area and the star level you want and submit a bid. If your bid is accepted they then tell you what hotel you got. It is charged to your card and not refundable even if you don't stay at the hotel for some reason. I like priceline for some things but do not use it for Disney trips as I want control of where I stay.
Have you checked the prices for the Anabella. It is next to the Convention center and sometimes has great prices.
