Alpha Stax!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought some at Micheal's today! lOVE THEM! I really have been debating about buying a sizzix or that new quick cutz but don't want to put out the money plus storage! Not very portable. Epsecially since I only want it for the letters it would be a pricy inverstment!
This is a package of 1300 pieces, 50 sheets/colors of precut letters they had 3 different fonts. Lots of colors and patterns to choice from. sells for $9.99! Really great deal if you have a coupon!

I just got some and used them on a layout last week. They look real nice and are a hec of a lot cheaper than buying the sizzix. Although that would sure be nice too!

I have them too!! I thought I'd just run them through my xyron but it left lilttle sticky edges and strings. I girl at a crop let me use her glue pen and it worked GREAT!! I went out that weekend and bought one for myself.
I bought a plastic organizer for embroidery threads and put my letters in there to store them when they started to come off the cardboard.

I bought these a few weeks ago too! I bought two different fonts and think they are great!

For those of you who want to see what they look like, I've already done two layouts with them. This is only one font, but I have seen 4 different ones so far.

OH WOW!!!!! I did get a Sizzix for Christmas and got one set of letters for my birthday and just ordered another set that is phasing out (30% off online with free shipping). But I'm figuring it never hurts to have more letters so hmmm....these are cool!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the idea about the thread storage container. As I've begun to pull off the letters I have noticed that they are getting everywhere. I put them in a baggie, but I'll never find what I want that way.

But they are EVERYWHERE right now - since they all came off the cardboard and I hadn't figured out where to store them
I might invest in the quizcutz -
It is very portable - with the little storage book - I used it at a crop Saturday and lvoed it but they don't carry it at Michaels so no 40%off

I want one too! Patty I heard that ACMoore has them for about $80 and then use a 40% off coupon it comes with the letters!
I think I will look the next time I am at ACM

WOW - my LSS gave me a price of $199 (and they would give me a 30% off if I paid when they order!
I'll have to see where the nearest ACMoore is - it might be worth thr drive - then whree do I get a coupon!

Patty before you do the drive, not sure how far it is for you let me go and look. I got that price off of a message board so don't know who true it is. I will try to go to ACM next week.

I don't live near an ACMoore but I got mine at Michaels and I've seen them at Joann's since then.

Called my AC Moore and they aren't going to carry quick cuts or the Alpha Stax. I checked the Alpha Stax out at Michaels but wasn't sure which font to buy. I thought they might have a cursive looking one but they didin't.

TIMON- What font is in the beautiful layouts you posted and what colors did you buy?

Yes, I've been a Buffertt fan since waaaay back in 1974 when people were saying - "Jimmy WHO??"

I've seen him in concert a few times and even met him and his daughter Savannah (when she was about 7) back on the Boston common in the afternoon of his show there.

Didn't get my tickets for this year. We went last year and I have turned into such an old fart! The show was fun, but we are not drinkers and I was tired of getting beer spilled on me and watching out for the vomit. Too wild for me. It also took us over two hours to get out of the parking lot after the show - and that was with avoiding all the broken glass. Guess I'll just settle for his music at home. Have fun at the show!

I don't remember the name of the font. I took them out of the wrap right away, but I believe there is only 3 kinds??? The block letter, the dot letter type and the one I used. They come in stacks of 50 in 5 different colors. Green, Orangie-yellow, brownish, black and grey I believe. Sorry, not very informative huh?
