I'm wondering if anyone has ever used an Alpha Omega carseat on a plane. I've never flown w/kids and I want to take a carseat for my 2yr old. I haven't flown in 8 years so I can't even remember how big the seats in the airplane are. The Alpha Omega is quite wide on the bottom and I'm wondering if I'll have a problem. TIA! Flying US Air if that matters! :)

We used ours on Southwest and it was fine! No problem, you just have to put it in the window seat due to regulations.

I used mine and it worked great, fit just fine.

I used this seat on one trip and I removed the base which also made it a little bit lighter to travel with. Check your instructions but unless they've changed it since I had mine, you don't have to have the base on it. There's a simple metal rod that runs through the bottom you can remove to take it off.

hth.

p.s. after that I bought a Cosco Scenera to travel with. It was easier to deal with because it was lighter and less bulky than the AO. hth.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the manual about removing the base - the carseat is supposeded to recline but it doesn't so I probably don't need the base. Thanks again!
