We are Renting a Mini-Van from Alamo for our upcoming trip. I was wondering if anyone on here has rented a Mini Van from Alamo. If so what kind of Van was it, Do you know if they are a standard size, or extended length. We are a Group of 8 (4 adults, 2 kids.), plus luggage. I own a Mazda MPV which is large enough to get us from our home to the airport, but I'm worried that our mini van we are renting will not have enough room. Please give me some insite to allow me to rest at ease for at least a couple more days. Thanks.

None of the minivans are officially labeled for 8 passengers. Max is 7. I haven't rented specifically from Alamo, but their info says that it's similar to a Dodge Caravan, which is what we have. We have to REALLY stuff to get 7 people and all of our luggage in the van. Hope that helps.

UHHHHHHHHHH DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I guess I was alittle tired when I asked this question. Because the last time I checked 4 + 2 = 6. Not 8. Boy what a brain fart that was. Anyways the van I saw described was a Chevy Uplander, But I guess they are all kinda the same size. Thanks for the help.

That is technically not correct - Alamo offer three sizes of van at MCO. There is a seven seater - Chevy Uplander or similar, an eight seater - Toyota Sienna or similar plus the monster 15 passenger full size van - Chevy Express or similar.

I rented a minivan from Alamo in August and it was a Saturn Relay. It had to two bucket seats in the front, two in the middle and a bench seat in the rear. It just fit 7 of us (4 adults and three small children. There was not much room for luggage (luckily we all packed light and were able to fit the soft sided duffel bags and back packs under the seats).

I received a Toyota Sienna. The one I had was an 8 passenger but that does not mean all Sienna's are 8 passenger. The one we had had electrical problems with the window. Info had ARM for the first three letters of the licence plate and major scratches on front and back bumper when we got it. Other than that it was just fine. We had reserved a midsize and the row was full of minivans.

Just got back yesterday. We had our choice of a chevy uplander or a dodge caravan. We chose the uplander first (DH works for GM:thumbsup2 ) but couldn't get a good install on the car seat, so we moved to the caravan. It had plenty of room in the back for our luggage. We had 3 adults and 4 children. My oldest complained of a lack of footroom in the middle backseat, but that was the only complaint. I do believe both minivans were the extended length.

I booked Alamo on October , ***********, sent me across the street. There were only uplanders and large 15 cap vans, The Uplander is a 7 passanger advertised on Alamo as one passenger being a child.

The Uplander was not an extened van, little room in the back for stroller and personal items. We never would ahve gotten our suitcases in it. We used Magical Express. Husband and son picked up and returned the van. For an Adult to get in and out the rear was a pain.

We did look for a newer one and it had a DVD player in it.
If you can be provided an extened length Caravan you will fair better. Pack light.
