10 more days until our first Disney vacation, staying at the Poly!!!! We are so excited. I would love to find out where our room is going to be. We requested Tokelau - has everyone gotten the longhouse they requested so far?
Thanks!

We asked for tahiti in May and got it. We had MKV so that limited our longhouses. I mentioned I needed to be close to the TTC for health resons ( I have chronic fatigue and Fibro). If you have a reason for your request mention it. That way if they can't give you what you want they will have a better idea what you will like. Sending warm weather pixie dust for your trip this month.

See you there then! 14 days till we check in!!!

We leave Friday Jan 22nd-29th! So excited. First year without diapers (6 & 3 this year). We have requested Tahiti! Hopefully we'll all get our requests and the weather will warm up- but not TOO warm ;)

We got the longhouse we requested two years in a row. Better than that, I had requested a specific room number, and we got the room number we requested two years in a row as well. I have nothing but good things to say regarding honoring those type of requests. Here's some pixie dust your way so that the cold weather goes away for you!:wizard:

So which room and longhouse do you like? PS- my husband is from upstate NY (and I lived in Albany and went to school in Saratoga- but realize that people's definition of Upstate NY varies...)

Best longhouses at the Poly?

I spent some time looking through the Tikiman website this morning and am leaning towards either Tahiti or Tokelau. We really want a balcony/patio and I noticed these buildings had them available on all levels. Has anyone here stayed in either of these longhouses? What was your experience like? Are there other longhouses you like better?

Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice!

Ssuan

We have stayed at both in the past two years, and we really liked both for different reasons. Tokelau was very centrally located, and a quick walk to both the quiet pool and GCH. We had a garden view that year, and it was very nice. Last year we stayed at Tahiti and had a MK view. We liked the close access to the very private beach and needless to say, the view. However, the drawback was the very loud horn from the ferry boat which sometimes travels to the MK late at night (during EMH and MVMCP or other parties that end at midnight). I have to say that we did find this annoying. Also, it was more of a hike to the GCH. Given that that view cost considerably more money, I don't think I would pay for that view again. So if I am going with a garden view, I would likely pick a longhouse closer to the GCH for our next trip.

This is our first stay at the Poly. We are really excited about it.:goodvibes I just realized we will be arriving on Super Bowl Sunday! We figure we will head over to MK since it is so close and then come back and watch. Any ideas of where the best place to watch would be, other than our room?

We arrive at the Poly on Friday. I am so cautiously excited about the weather forecast. WFTV is calling for 74+ each day I'm there. Accuweather and weather.com have similar numbers.:cheer2::dance3::yay::woohoo:

Had a message on my answering machine from the POLY today. A wonderful gal named Brittany left a message about our upcoming trip. We leave next Wednesday, and she wanted to confirm that everything was in order for our arrival.:lovestruc

Excellent, personal service, at the Poly. As always......

Wow, that's so cool, Paris. Does everyone get a call like that? I'd like to get a confirmation just so I don't have to worry about it.

Our first stay at the Poly will be in March. A benefit to booking a wedding with Disney is a complimentary room night at the hotel of your choice. We picked the poly and have a theme park view reserved. We are so excited and only wish it was more than 1 night!!

We have been to Disney numerous times however this will be our first stay at the Poly. Does anyone know which longhouses have bathrooms with two sinks?

Thanks

I just booked our trip and thanks to a great rate (and it being our honeymoon so worth a splurge), we are for real getting to stay at the Poly! I've never stayed anywhere other than a value, so this is way exciting!
