I just saw this link today and while I missed the fireworks, just seeing the 'live' cam from the Poly and hearing the train whistle and the boat horns---almost started to make me cry. I miss the Poly!!!!! It makes me miss the lagoon view room we had in Tuvalu a few Christmases ago. Thanks so much to tecDavidt for hooking it up and BreezysMom for providing the link. This is so making my day today..

SueM, out of the 3 trips I've made to the Poly I've only gotten upgraded once. Total fluke thing. I'd booked a standard room and for whatever reason, that category was overbooked and they had a room for the same number of nights in Concierge. I didn't ask for it--it was given to me. I don't think much about getting upgrades when I check in as I'm just so happy to be at the Poly! As for on-line check in, I prefer it because if there's a long check-in line when you get to the Poly, the online check-in line is usually much shorter. Hope that helps!

Happy New year To all the Poly Lovers!!!

I'm so excited. I had booked the Poly on a wing and a prayer last Sept. On new years eve we got some good financial news (it's been a rough few years) and today I found out WDW is offering another discount that will save me another $270. We are back at the Poly this May for the secound year in a row. We waited 15yrs to get back now we get to go again. I think I'm about to bust.

I can hear the music an feel the sand beneath my feet as I write this.

Poly was amazing, great location, watching fireworks on the beach at night is awesome. We would never go at Chistmas again due to insane crowds, we managed to have a great time, We were able to ride and see everything in Disney World took allot of planning

Disney just anounced 30-45 percent off until JUNE 3rd!!! You definatly want to check that out as you make your plans. We go May 8-15 yea!!!!

This will be our very first trip to the Poly!!! We have stayed at many resorts and were actually booked at WL until I saw an amazing deal for Poly! My kids are BEYOND excited!!!!

We'll be there May 13-20th with our 2 youngest for DD's 6th birthday. Last time we stayed at the POLY was for our oldest DD's 6th birthday....1998 Can't wait. Currently we are staying offsite-2nd week of 2wks..weather has been good,kids have swam everyday, so no complaining.

Ok, I have a question, might be a silly one, but need to ask!

Do the longhouses have elevators or just stairs? I am just wondering if I need to request a ground floor room since my mom can't do stairs too easily. Would love 3rd floor, but she can't do all those stairs everyday!

Last night I was filling in all the birthdays and events on my 2010 calendar. When I got to December I was able to write in our trip to the Poly. Now it feels even more real. I know I still have a long time to go, but it will be here before we know it.
