Hi Sunshine, that quote was about the transportation at the TTC....the buses, express monorail and ferry at the TTC do not start early for EMH.

The resort monorail on the other hand starts by 7am every day whether EMH or not.

We stayed at the Polynesian last week as well. Our room was neat and pretty.:wizard:

I don't think there is a specific CM. There is a department that handles special needs. Call DRC/CRO and explain your needs. They will call the department for you and mark your reservation. You may receive a call back if they have more questions of your needs.

BTW if you booked gardenview the rooms in Rapa Nui are the closest to the TTC.

Lissiesmum, welcome back. I looked for your backpack while we were at the Polynesian but didn't run into you. I wonder if you walked by our room in Fiji? Oh, and we landed early a week ago Sunday too!:cool1:

carlnix30, the breakfast sliders were little sandwiches. I think there were two to an order but we didn't get them. Egg, cheese and maybe some meat? on what appeared to be light whole wheat buns. They looked good from a distance.:)

johnsonet, great pictures. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks this is what I have been looking for!!:thumbsup2 Sorry it took so long to acknowledge your help. I've been on and off in short spurts of late and have a lot of Poly posts to go through!

Maiapapaya, I noticed your ticker and it looks like we will be at WDW at the same time, we will be at BC first of the week and then ending the week at Poly maybe we will run into each other.

It sounds like that week will be a virtual Poly thread party ... we'll be there, as well as PolyndianPrincessJes and PamelaKay. I think the management should buy us all a round of lapu lapu's out by the pool as a thank you for promoting the resort! :thumbsup2
Failing that, ours will be the freaky Canadian kids swimming in the volcano pool when it's only 65! :rotfl:

I think some of our stays will be over lapping. So we will have to look for the alien green mickey heads.

I totally agree with the Lapu Lapu's by the pool. I booked at this resort after reading so many wonderful reviews.

I also wanted to share my fantastic news. I did a quick selfish, solo trip to AKL club level for 4 days last week and there was a bounceback offer good for the dates of my Poly stay. The agent on the phone said she had good news and bad. The bad was GV CL was not available for the discount, but I could upgrade to TPV Club Level at the Poly and still get a big chunk of change back. Of course I upgraded since I am not a crazy person. Now I will be taking my mom and dad to TPV Club level at the Poly. Does it get any better than that? Oh yeah, it could be better if we had free Lapu Lapus by the pool.

I received a pin code for the 40% during our stay. We were already booked GV CL before the pin, and GV CL was not available with the pin. So we upgraded to CL TPV and added two more nights and are paying about the same as the original booking.

Great score with the bounce back/pin. :thumbsup2 We also got the 40% pin, but DH isn't convinced yet that we would get our money's worth going CL (ie. that we need the extra food & free snacks etc). He knows we don't need the IPO since I'm a totally anal planner. :rotfl: We are staying TPV though. He insists on that & who am I to argue?! :rolleyes1

I'm not sure if we'll overlap or not by looking at your ticker taylor3297. :confused3 We will only be there until Dec. 5. When do you arrive?

You're welcome. :goodvibes Happy planning! :surfweb:

I wouldn't argue with that either! :goodvibes

woodleygrrl, another way to get to BWI or any resort that's not in the MK area is to get to the MK via monorail or launch ( big ferry or express monorail from the TTC works well too if you're in an Eastern longhouse) and then hop a bus to the resort. After dinner everse the route if the MK is still open. I would avoid DTD as a transfer point at all cost. I'd spring for a taxi before going through DTD.:scared1: Thanks for your report and glad the rest of your trip was good. :goodvibes

When did you get the pin? We had to upgrade (oh-so-horrible!!) because only TPV was available with the pin, but I was only able to upgrade one room because of a booking mistake. They had us there August 1-8 instead of December. :scared1: So, I just booked a regular TPV room for my mom and grandparents. I must have gotten the last TPV CL room.

Yes, I am definitely down for some pineapple goodness on Disney for our happy little crew!! :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is our 10 day mark, I will be calling up to check that our requests are correct and then doing the online check-in :woohoo:

I'm soooooo jealous! I know y'all will have a fabulous trip! May seems soooo far away!!! I can hardly stand it. Give us a trip report while you are there.

I actually received 2 pins within a few days of each other about 2 weeks ago. As soon as I received the first, I immediately sent it to my TA and she is not one to sit around. I wasn't surprised that all the CL GV rooms were taken. So many people had already received the pin. I had my choice between CL LV or CL TPV to use with the pin or we could have gotten a regular GV or TPV room. Since we were already booked for CL GV, we decided to upgrade.

They must have gone fast!! By the time I called last week, there was only one CL room left, and it was TPV (not that I'd complain :rolleyes1). I'm hoping for an opening to book a second CL room sometime in the next looooong. eeeeeeight. mooooonths. :upsidedow  This is the first year we haven't done Disney twice in the last couple years, and I'm missing it already!!!!

Dawgdad, glad you had a great vacation. What was the bounceback offer at the Poly?
TIA

We booked for Oct 22-26th. Poly, 4 nights, TPV - $1552
I have notes on other hotels as well as Poly GV, but I can't find them at the moment. I think Poly GV was like $1100 for the 4 days.

Welcome back! So - I see you enjoyed Tuvalu.....but you are the one who talked me into Tahiti! :) So, I am dying to know - which longhouse do you like better now that you have hit Tuvalu? Also, do you notice a difference in the room size & did you miss not having 2 sinks? TIA!

OT - my daughter wants me to put a dancing banana in my post.

I would say I am 50/50 right now. BUT, we have a large family and the space is noticeable for us. We had to empty a few suitcases and put them back on the bus (normally, we lay them all out on the suitcase stands between the bed and the bathroom wall - in the older rooms, there is not enough room there. The 2 sinks would be a bigger deal if our kids were older, but it was not really a problem. The tradeoff of being farther from the TTC was that we were so close to the GCH. We just used the resort monorail to and from MK (in Tahiti, you have the choice and express loop is probably quicker). And to Epcot, we just walked to TTC - about a 5 minute farther walk - no big deal when you put in in perspective of the amount of walking. BTW - I walked 67 miles according to my pedometer!

The views from Tahiti are great, most balcony pictures have the Contemporary in the background, from Tuvalu, get used to looking at GF - which is NO problem at all - the sun setting over the GF is amazing and when you look to the right, the sunrise from the Poly dock is just as great. I promise I will post a few pictures very soon.

I am so sorry I can't pick a favorite - I am just happy to know that, having stayed in Tuvalu, we now have more options for a perfect room. And btw, we were in 3409 - straight ahead off the elevator - dead center of the building. And, no, the elevator noise is not an issue - we never heard it. Also, some have reported noise from the Luau...I think I may have heard it one night, but very faint.

Hey, you were in our room!

Maiapapaya, I will most certainly be looking for ya'll in the pool cause that is a little to cold for me. Your right they should buy us all Lapu Lapu's. This is soooo cool we are all going to be storming the Poly:rotfl2:, hope they can handle all of us:lmao: And it looks like we will all be in a TPV CL room.:cool1:
