Woo hoo! We decided to go with lagoon view club level for our trip in July!! :woohoo::yay::banana::dance3::cheer2::woohoo::yay::banana: We started out thinking we'd book a garden view room, then decided on garden view club level, and finally today decided to go with LVCL! :cool2::cool2::cool2:

Rock on Terry! That is so exciting. :woohoo:

P.S. Look at my ticker...19 more days!

How exciting! Have a magical time!

I am glad to hear about some good reviews from returning guests :thumbsup2

Great news, Seaspray! I think once you see the lagoon view from your room (or in my case across the hall wishing that was my room!), it is hard to go back to garden view! Enjoy your planning, July will be here before you know it!

Also, cool news about tikiman's site being listed in the UG's 2010! I'm not surprised, it is such an amazing tribute to the Poly! :cheer2:

Thanks! I can't wait!! :goodvibes WOO HOO on having only 19 days to go!! :thumbsup2:banana:

Way to go, SeaSpray! :dance3: Congratulations!:woohoo:

That is the most magical view in all of WDW I think. :wizard: How fun to dream of it for the next few months.:cloud9: Don't you love the anticipation?

I'm excited for you!

Thanks! And yes I do love the anticipation! :cloud9: LOL The planning is almost as much fun as the actual trip. And I agree that the lagoon view at the Polynesian is the best, most magical view you can have! :3dglasses:cloud9: I always love to wake up and see the lagoon come to life...the sights and sounds... :sunny:

Have a great time. :thumbsup2

Thanks, CR Fan!! :thumbsup2

Hello! I hope you can help with a question. (As some of you have already read) I am travelling to the Poly Feb 21-28 with our 11 year old twin boys and their best friend (DH can't make it this time, so it's all about the boys!).

It's our first trip to the Poly, but 3rd to WDW for our guys. It's the first time to WDW for their friend. I'd like to do something special to welcome their buddy. I know about 1st visit buttons etc, but is there anything Poly specific we should do? We'll be sure to get leis, are still trying to get into O'Hana (the boys changed their minds after first telling me they didn't want to go again!)...anything else?

All this talk about the views...we're in Hawaii, GV...I broke down and asked my TA to look into a change to LV or TPV...will have to see if it's available and what the $$$ would be...!!!

Whether it's the GF or the Poly, I suspect that once you've had the castle view, you're spoiled. That being said, given the temps around here, looking at a palm tree sounds just fine to me!!!

My first thought was,if your not doing the luau, going to the torch lighting ceremony. My understanding is they have the fire dance. What boy isn't facinated by things like fire? And its free! If you think they might get into the pirates league and/ or pirates and pals cruise that would be a way to get into the magic. Kids this age are tough some young enough for that some too old. You might want to get him a pressed penny case. Even my middle schooler likes to collect them and they are a cheap thing to collect. They have one close to Ohana and one downstairs. I saw where they have a hidden mikey hunt at the WL don't know if they have one at Poly but you could always do your own with the hidden mickey's guide.

twinmum -- I agree with the previous poster about making the time to watch the tiki-torch lighting ceremony. We didn't think it would be as nice as it was, plus the fire dance was really cool!:thumbsup2

Other ideas:

Take the time to play on the Poly beach

Make sure the kids get their leis and their buckets & shovels (staying in Hawaii)

We had fun taking photos of DD with all the tikis -- they are "hidden" all over the resort and we made a game of seeing how many of them we could find

Watching the EWP and Wishes from the Poly beach or your room (depending on which view you end up with)

Campfire & movies (between the GF and the Poly)

Good luck getting into 'Ohana -- we always have a fun time there and the dessert is so yummy!!!

Twinmum

so special for you to allow your boys to bring a friend!!!

Another suggestion to make it special, you can contact Disney florist online at Disney website. They Can decorate your room in any theme you like before you arrive! :cool1:

You could contact your Itinerary planning office for more suggestions and they can make any arrangement you decided to do! One one the many benefits of staying club level.
:cool2:

o.k. can you tell me about the campfire and movies??:goodvibes

It's awesome! It's on the beach at the GF right after the Wedding Pavilion. First they have a campfire where you roast marshmallows and make smores (I think the kit was around $7). They have a sound system set up and they play the Disney channel type of music (Jonas Bros, Hannah Montana, Demi Lovato, HSM, etc). My DD danced on the beach and had a ball. After the roast, they played some dance songs such as YMCA, chicken dance, We are Family, Electric slide, etc. The whole family was dancing. We left after the smores and dancing because we wanted to get back to the Poly for WIshes, but they had a big screen outside set up for Finding Nemo. This activity was one of our favorites! Plus, the walk over is so nice...we walked by the luau and could hear teh music, and of course you have the torchlit paths , the monorail to your right, and the sun setting...pure heaven!

Ooooo I love the Idea of finding all the Tiki's. What a great Idea! Is there a list of all of them somwhere or should we try to make a unofficial list right here on the Ploy thread?

Breezy what do you think? IMHO this would be a great list to printout and take to the Poly. Bet there are a few Tiki's even a few vetrans might not know/remember;)

Great idea! :thumbsup2 A fun photo-theme to do with the kids, and I'm sure they'd love to make a game out of finding the tiki's!

Luv the pix. Now I have to remember peppermint patties. My dd loves smores made with them in place of choc. They are really good that way.

Soooooo since they have the campfire stuff at GF...do you think we should bother doing the one at FW with Chip and Dale?:confused3 It was on our list of to do's for our Poly trip in Aug:banana:. But if the experience is comparable..........
