Well my bags are packed, I'm ready to go--just have to do a mani/pedi with my daughter tomorrow a.m. and then to the Sheraton for the afternoon and evening.

Lunch at TGIF tomorrow, then to the hotel for a few hours of sleep. Up at 3:00 a.m. for our 6:00 a.m. flight. We are visiting a friend at the n/k/a Bohemian Celebration Hotel and then check-in at Polynesian on Saturday.

So excited. . .if I can get my kids to bed, I'll be happy. Did I mention they are actually adults. LOL

Tess ... have a great time ... save a spot by the pool for us .... we're arriving right about the time you leave ... we arrive on the 29th ..... 12:) more sleeps ... lol

16 days!:cool1: Time is moving so fast, I'm starting to panic and feel the need for making lists so I don't forget anything.

I'm trying to decide: Kona for breakfast or lunch? We try to eat at all of our resort's restaurants and hadn't fit Kona in yet. I have a breakfast ADR for July4th right now, but I could easily switch to an early lunch. Opinions?

Also, anyone know what kind of activities are poolside on July 4th? I remember seeing something about it, but we were planning at that time to be in a park. Now it looks like we'll be relaxing at the resort (that's the plan for now!;))

We arrive on the 5th, I can't believe it's getting so close now!!! :woohoo::yay::banana: I'd choose breakfast over lunch at the Kona! Although, we have ADRs for all 3 meals (different days of course), but we'll be having breakfast there at least twice. :cool2:

Mdrob .... we'll be there for the 4th, too!:banana::banana:

We arrive on the 29th.

Maybe we'll see you there ..:)

I'll be there in 2 weeks and 3 days! Hope to see some DISers there! :sunny:

Hi everybody!

I snapped a few photos today after I dropped DD10 off at the Neverland Club. :-)

The always-gorgeous waterfall.

The beach next to the 'worst' longhouse at the Polynesian. ;-)

The swing looks so lonely.

I also got a printed schedule of Children's activities. I'll scan it and post when I return home.

Have a fantastic trip!

Go with breakfast. Macadamia pancakes are to die for!!!!:lovestruc Will be moving from BIV to BLT on Monday, Aug. 16th, but have made reservations for breakfast in between ... got to have those pancakes! :tink:

So if you book a TPV room, will you absolutely have a view of Cinderella Castle? And which building has the best views - Tahiti or Tuvalu?

Thank you. :thumbsup2

That's what Disney is apparently guaranteeing with the fairly recent "TPV" room category. The management cherry picked the LV rooms and upped the ante on them creating the TPV category.

I, personally, love Tahiti for its proximity to TTC and quiet pool. double sinks, and outdoor space on all three levels. I do know there is a growing list of fans for Tuvalu. . .but they want to keep their find hush hush. :lmao:

To all those who wished us well on the previous page, thanks so much--I'm up early to print boarding passes only to find out that we can't do online check in for this flight. :headache: It probably has something to do with my unwillingness to pay for a seat assignment. :rolleyes1

Ms. Stinkerbelle--if you see us wandering about--give a holler!

For those heading down soon or after us, I wish you safe travels, great weather, and an awesome vacation. :yay:

I think it is just a personal preference. We really loved our room in Tuvalu. Because the building sits right up by the lagoon, with no path or beach between it & the water, it feels like you are right out over the water when you go onto the balcony (if you have one - second floor rooms don't). There is a beautiful view of the GF to your left and the little boat dock to your right. Tuvalu is very close to the GCH and volcano pool.

I haven't stayed in Tahiti, but from what I read there are beautiful views from there too. The building is newer, so the rooms are slightly bigger. There are also balconies on the second floor. Tahiti is relatively close to the TTC, which is a big selling point for a lot of families.

You probably can't go wrong with either! :thumbsup2

A Poly picture just because.

Thank you both for the pictures. I love logging on in the morning to see some pics of the Poly :cloud9:

I'm surprised that last post of mine posted because I got some fatal error :scared1: Well, no fatalities that I know of :)

I do have a question about rooms. I've stayed in Tokelau twice and enjoyed it. Our toilet, tub/shower, and sink were in one room. Do any of the other longhouses have a different layout for the bathrooms such as one vs. two sinks, or sinks outside the toilet/shower area? I looked on tikiman's site but I didn't see any info on this particular subject. Thanks for any info you can give!
