Hi all, one week for us until we get to Universal, then on to the Poly 10/18-10/23. I did a quick resort search, and was surprised to find the Poly was sold out for those dates! As a matter of fact, most of the resorts are. I didn't think that was going to be a huge week of attendance, Touring Plans is still saying a few of the days are "1." It's not a free dining week, but there is a discount that was offered that week - maybe everyone is staying at the resorts vs. in other parts of Orlando since it's so cheap??

What does everyone think??

Leaving 1 week from today! But driving and not arriving until 1 week from tomorrow!!

This was supposed to be the big packing weekend, but now is looking more like the big soccer game weekend...so much for my great plans. Also, we are unseasonably warm this week in Indy,

We are living parallel lives! We leave 1 week from yesterday though, but are driving from the Indy area, and now have to spend all day tomorrow at soccer sectionals instead of packing!

Wow - I can't believe our Poly vacation has come...and gone I would have posted sooner but I've had to basically do two weeks of work in one this past week (because of course I don't really get a vacation - just postpone the inevitable )

Will I go back to the Poly? I certainly hope so!
Would I recommend the Poly? Absolutely!
When's my next trip to WDW? I have no idea

Hi there!! I just booked a totally last minute trip to Disney. We were there twice in 2009 and had a great time both times. I was a little on the fence about going back again, but DH convinced me. Our daughter, now almost 3, had such a great time last year- it sealed the deal! Additionally, we recently found out she is deathly allergic to nuts, and I know Disney is so good with children with food allergies! Less to worry about. Plus, we have a new baby and know there are lots of places to sit and rest/nurse/etc.

We are staying at the Polynesian again. The location, staff, rooms, pools- you can't beat it!! We loved it last year!! Can't wait- just 2 more weeks!

Now...to figure out how to get some dining reservations- that's about the only bad thing with a last minute trip!!

This morning we just booked our 2nd trip for 2011 I really am missing Food and Wine and MNSSHP this year so we decided to add another trip and be there to celebrate the Poly's 40th Birthday!!

I am hoping to convert to a bounceback while we are there in late February but I figured I better book a room just in case!

Is anyone else planning on being at the Poly in October 2011 for it's 40th??

I'd definitely be interested. I'll be stalking the online reservations each day and giving it a go a few times. I've managed 1 at Via Napoli so far, and that's it. I figure we'll hit the food & wine festival one or two nights to help there. We did the QS dining, so I'm really just hoping for one TS per day to make up for it. If you have any you'll be dropping, I'd love to coordinate if it works out! Thank you! We are going the 23-28th.

We'll be there in Jan but hoping to go down end of Sept - early Oct (9/28-10/4 tentatively) for Disney and my own 40th!! As of now we're not planning on renewing our AP's in Jan so booking Sept might be tough (after 3 trips this year) but we may just renew again in Sept 2011... Makes a big diff in the rates, esp in a deluxe! But if the parks not full on celebrating it's 40th in Jan there is NO WAY I'll miss going down in Sept/Oct!

Awesome!! We leave early on the 28th, so those would not work. But I'd love the WCC on the 27th. I hear it is a fun experience!! I'm not sure the other dates/times work with the park plans we had But I'd be ever so grateful for the WCC one!! (And don't hate on my Football love too much...my DD's name is actually Halas! No joke ). How does this work? Do you just PM me with the time you cancel and I plan to add them at the same time? Is it instant like that online? (Sorry for the questions).

I will be leaving work in 3 hrs, picking up my son early from school, and then (hopefully) be driving to the world by 1:00. We don't check in to the Poly until tomorrow morning so I guess I will have one more "way too excited to sleep" night! I can't wait to get to Poly. i hope it's everything I've always thought it would be! I'm sure it will be. I will try to figure out how to post pictures when I get back! Thanks to everyone on this thread for keeping me super-excited for the last three months!

12 days until we check in at the Poly! It was so cold here last night, I can't wait to feel that warm Florida sunshine. The kids can't wait to get back in the volcano pool and DH is looking forward to a nap!

look at my ticker!!! Ok, so I have started waking up in the night and laying in bed thinking about packing and how close the trip is getting.

Me too! I laugh at people who are going in (example) 3 days and write "2 more sleeps"! Im leaving in 4 days and hope to get in 1 more sleep! Its the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of when I go to bed. I must wake up 10 times during the night. I love the past midnight wake ups..one less day!

Congrats I hope you have a great stay. On another board I read the bounceback and it only went through September 29th. Hopefully that changes before you arrive
