Aloha!!!!! :) :) :) Greetings from the Polynesian!!! ;) We are having a wonderful time, and the weather is beautiful. Both kids are napping so I thought I'd quickly post to say "hello" and see if anyone has any questions for me, or if anyone wants me to investigate anything for them. ;) Faxing in our room requests sure paid off, we got exactly what we wanted.... Fiji, 3rd floor, overlooking the marina. We can also see the GCH, the Volcano, and the CR. :) It's a great garden view! :) I highly recommend it.

The parks are crowded today, everyone is enjoying this fantastic weather. It's about 80 degrees with no humidity. We enjoyed Spectromagic last night and also watching the fireworks from the Poly beach. But I'll save all that for the trip report.

If anyone has a question about the Poly, or anything else at WDW just let me know. We are here until Sunday and then transfer over to the BCV.

Hi Nikki!!!!

Aloha everyone!!!! :)

Just wanted to tell you that I hope you enjoy your trip! In New York it is really cold today...time to break out those turtlenecks again. I am really envious of you.

Have a great vacation and let us know how everything was when you get back home!

Hi Erika!! I bet you are having a great time...I knew you'd love the Poly once you got there!!! Glad you got to try it out at such a fabulous price!!

To other DISers...I just spoke with Erika on IM--LOL--she sounds like she is on a muscle relaxer LOL and she keeps saying it's soooo laid back here! ;) I knew she'd love the Poly after she got there :)

Are you in a smoking or non smoking area?
How far are you from the GCH?
We leave in a few weeks and still trying to decide on a location.

How are the crowds? weather?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Erika, Thanks for thinking of us! Say hello to the WL for me:(
We have soooo long to wait for our trip! Have fun!!!

It sounds like you are having a great time.

What were your first impressions of the resort at check-in. Clean?

Your view sounds wonderful. Looking forward to a trip report.

How is your room? Smoking or non-smoking?

Enjoy your trip.

Hope you have a wonderful stay!! Take time to see all the duckies and bunnies and smell those wonderful flowers that are along the paths of the Poly . . .

I'm Jealous!!

Don't forget to see the torch lighting ceremony:)

Thanks for the Poly "fix!" We just planned a quick getaway on 6/13 when the APs came out. I booked garden concierge, but am second guessing myself, you view sounds better than what I will be getting with my room.

I hope you have a great time and enjoy!

Hi there...

Napping children is a good thing! Thanx for writing.

Have you seen the Electric Water Parade?

Have a great time!

>>^..^<<

I have a reservation for BCV at the beginning of November, but I am also thinking about the Poly. I can't believe you're staying at both on your trip. I'll be looking forward to hearing about your trip and which one you liked best!

Sounds terrific! We can't wait-we'll be arriving at the Polynesian tomorrow:bounce: Hope you continue to have a great time.

Thanks for the report. We will be there in 30 days. I have reqested Niue but Figi sounds great. How far is it to the Volcano pool? Did you request when you made your ressies or did you just fax?? I have never been to the poly so any tips would be great... thanks...amy

Poly is awesome! I am so glad you are enjoying your trip. We leave in just under 3 weeks and thank you for giving me my "Poly fix!" Now I wish we were leaving "NOW!!!" I hope the rest of your trip is just as nice. Have a great time!!!

Aloha again!! :)

I'm going to quickly try and answer all these questions before the EWP starts! ;)

Fiji is a non smoking building. It's right along side the marina. It's a very short walk to the GCH, we just come out of the buildings, walk right past the marina, and go in the side door by the clothing store. There is also a side entrance to Capt. Cooks right there so we can fill our mugs. Mugs?? YES, I said mugs! ;) I actually bought one and have been using it! It's pretty convienent and less expensive too.

We are also close to the pool, but not as close as Nuie and Samoa are. People over there can walk straight to the pool from their room. But we are still close here. Actually, all these buildings on this side of the resort are close to everything. The buldings over by the TTC are much farther from everything... except the TTC of course. That walkway that runs from the lobby along the side of the resort to the TTC is closed and under construction. They are doing some major work there. I would NOT want to be over in Rapa Nui or that other one next to it. It's a mess!

We have not seen the torch lighting ceremony. In fact, most torches are not lit. I'm not sure what's up with that?? But they haven't been on since we got here.

The EWP and fireworks are easily seen for the beach or pool. We were surprised and really have enjoyed seeing it. They have the MK music playing along. And it hasn't been crowded at all. But the parks, now THAT is another story. But I'll save it for the trip report.

OK... gotta run. Hope that was everything. I'll try to get back tomorrow. Ask any questions you want and I'll try my best to answer them!!!

EWP is starting!!!!! I'm outta here! ;)

Thanks for the mini-trip report Erika! Sounds like you have a great location. Enjoy the rest of your vacation! :)

I believe the construction is the new covered bus stop. Can you check and see if that is true for me? Any photos of it would be great even if it is just construction.

Have a great time and I can't wait to hear the details when you get back.

Aloha

Steve

Are elevators in the the Fiji longhouse?!?

(checking in May 3 - my mother is visually impaired; if there are no elevators, I will request a ground room floor.)

Thanks!!!

There are elevators in all buildings except Niue but it still has access to the second floor using the elevator in Rarotonga right next to it.
