Hi All

We have booked seats for the Aloha Dinner Show on the last night of our trip this October. Sounds like there is some sentiment on the DISboards that it isn't worth the money and may be somewhat boring.

Can any of you boarders who have attended the Aloha Dinner Show give me your opinions/reviews?

Much appreciated!

There is another thread somewhere on this but it's a good show with good food and unlimited drinks. Personally, everytime I go to Disney I go to the luau but there are others who feel differently. I would definitley give it a try because there are parts of the show that are really great. Just don't go expecting a Hawaiian luau, this is Disney's version.

If you have less than 1 child under 5 I would go.
It is much less fun with a squirming kid who doesn't sit still.. and it is not a 3 times a year show; but it is fun, good food, and with beer added in (assuming you drink), I think the price is fair.
There is no tip and no $$ for beer, so I figure that saves us at least 40$ (2 adults and 1 DD5) every trip. 1.5 beers and 15- 20$ for a tip, if it was a regular rest.

DH and I have our second ressie planned in Nov. (without DD5)

I suggest looking it up on YOUTUBE then decide if it is your thing. I had booked it and then looked it up. After showing a few clips to my DH and DD we all agreed that it was not our cup of tea and we canceled.
I am glad we found out in advance that the dinner shows are not our thing as I wouldn't want to waste our time and money on something we wouldn't enjoy.
That being said lots of people seem to love it, so get a sneak peak and make up your own mind.

I agree about looking it up on YouTube first. Personally my family loved it and requested we do it again this year. My daughter loves the dancers, we all enjoyed the fire show and hubby and I liked the relaxed atmosphere. However, everyone's tastes differ. I was about to make reservations for Hoop Dee Doo based on the rave reviews it gets and watched some of it on YouTube and only my middle son seemed interested.

We went in April just hubby and I..we enjoyed it..good food but we wont be doing this again. Loved Hoop Dee Doo Show

We went last month for the first time. Food was okay. Don't expect a luau like you would see in Hawaii. I think that is why I was disappointed. Maybe I had high expectations. I'm glad that I saw it, but would not go again. To us, it was not worth the 2 TS.

I think it is definitely worth doing once. That being said, we don't do it on every trip, but I get the urge to go check it out if we haven't been in a few years. The food is good. The show is hokey in the beginning but stays entertaining throughout.
