Well, we leave for WDW this week and we will be at IOA next Thursay. We have never been and are really looking forward to it. I will let ya'll know if we like it (I cannot imagine not liking it).

Question about Jurassic Park ride please. Is it worse than Dinosaur! as far as being scary? I would never put my oldest on Dinosaur! but I have been told that Jurassic park isn't that bad. So any information would be great! He is almost 7, but has Down syndrome so is delayed cognitively. I don't want to scare him too bad. He is fine on roller coasters and things like that.

Thanks!

Sandra

The two rides are completely different. JPRA is a log flume type ride and Dinosaur isn't. If your son is fine on coasters, he'll love the 85 foot drop at the end.

I think Dinosaur is much scarier than Jurassic Park because of the way the dinosaurs jup out and surpise you. On Jurassic park, you can typically see them before they are in your face roaring at you.

Thank you! I knew that the ride was different (bumpy car at AK, boat ride at IOA). The dinosaurs were my main concern. I scream on Dinosaur! for goodness sakes! LOL

Thank you so much! I cannot wait!

We love Jurassic Park!
Just retured yesterday from Disney/Universal
My youngest talked about JP for a year- no kidding
He is four and did end up being tall enough to ride

Both my kids loved it, the dop is scary but very cool at the end

Have fun!!!!
My tip, we rented the double strollers every day, my boys are 7 and 4
they are very light weight and we just pushed them around everywhere
so they wouldn't get worn out

I think the worse of it is where you go thru the t-rex's legs and then you drop down the 85 foot flume.:scared1:

85 foot drop, huh? He hasn't been on anything like that. He is only 41 inches tall, so by roller coasters, I meant Barnstormer and Woody Woodpecker coaster. And the little roller coaster at Carowinds (used to be called Scooby Doo) in NC/SC. We might have to baby swap (I also have a 16 month old so we will have to do it anyway) and me or DH check it out first. OF course, by the day we do IOA we will also have done Splash Mountain (this is the first year he is tall enough) so I will know a little better what he thinks of a large drop with water.

Thanks again everybody!

Sandra

Oh. I was thinking it was 40. Sorry! We might not have to worry about it then.

Thanks!

Sandra
